Posting on my wife’s birthday (April 3rd)…we are having fun exploring this vast world of red, wine and rose wines since our journey started in 2013, with wines such as Menage a Trois Red Blend and Mirrasou Pinot Noir and have have thousands of wines since. Featured here is a phenomenal 2020 Poggio Al Tesoro Cassiopea Rose wine from Bolgheri, Italy (13.0%). Grapes used in this blend are Cabernet Franc 70% and Merlot 30%.
Tasting notes are: primary flavors of strawberries & peach. Lesser notes of citrus and a perfect sweetness/acidity. Simply one of the best Rose wines we’ve had to date. Poggio Al Tesoro makes some amazing wines (white wines included…and we’ll sample soon for you all)….if you come across this wine brand, grab one…you won’t be disappointed. On Vivino this wine has a 3.8/5 though it’s more worth of a 4.0/5 rating without question. Bought from Ingredients Wine Boutique, Saskatoon for $43.
