have you been to France yeah yeah mhm we went on this like tour and we went to like different cities and I I don’t remember the names at one point we went to Italy then we went to France then Rome’s been doing everything and then we went home we made it 5 days and then we were like we can’t not work so we flew home from Rome the tour person was like what are you doing you can’t leave this is a risk we were like bye we’re going home

Work to live or live to work?
This is a privilege – when you don't need to run away from work because you love it. However, you need at least two weeks away from work to recognize that you are addicted to the stimulation of work and don't know how to rest. This is when you discover the magic of true rest. How it rejuvenates you, makes you a more creative and better leader. Take a break every 3 months if you can afford it.
I'm not following the logic here… 🤔

Are Alex & Leila taking the right kind of breaks / vacation? I imagine the kind of trip she described WOULD be boring for them and dull as nails. Alex defines happiness as "doing the things you love with the people you love." It sounds like they need to find the equivalent of that for fun / active, quality recreation & relaxation / breaks and vacations.
Things they might find recharge their batteries might be breaks of active quality recreation like downhill skiiing or snowboarding, surfing, scuba diving, free diving, hiking and horseback riding in great locations. Skydiving. Something active, fun, exercise related, nature, scenery and fresh air / great outdoors related. Challenging, fun, active, rejuvenating and exciting.

Why are these videos coming at the exact time I think about them! Off tomorrow for a week but I’ve got 3 shipments in China and one in Germany disrupted because of the war.. have to work a bit but that’s fine. When you run a business you can’t always have it your way.
