[Music] I’m at this morning in Piza and before we start the long search for the things we need for the house we thought why not have a cappuccino at the cafeteria and then we’re heading into this massive Warehouse of wonderful wonderful things hello everyone well we got in after our coffee into the actual massive massive vastness of w is techn mat and I’m showing David the tiles that some of you might remember me coming in here last year with my friends Ronan and tranette and I was looking at some of the tiles um we’re trying to understand what we want to put downstairs so it’s quite confusing we’re not sure if we want something shaped like the um I was looking at these these ones last year that feel like a travertine look like a travertine but but aren’t so much better price and um I’ll spin around and show you a few of the other things we’re looking at we’re looking at a whole lot of things today we actually came to find out a price of a made to measure door but the queue for the made to measure area is so long that I don’t know if we’re going to get around to it so anyway we’ll just do whatever else we can we also are looking for paint right so we’ve picked up just picked up a a tint of paint which is pale gray um we’ve been told that pale gray through the different shades of cray is allowable and because I wanted to do a blue gray this is going to be the closest to what I like let’s hope that’s okay so this is going to be the color that David’s going to try this afternoon on the um shutter of the bathroom upstairs while the um scaffold is still up because we need him to be able to get up there and then if it’s a good color we’ll do the front door the same and he’s just so we now we’re just getting paint brushes Etc again a vast now sandpaper is where let’s have a look [Applause] now David these are all the incredible array of shower rain showers and different showers that we can choose from which is just incredible oh David was just saying we’re in a hotel where they had one of these and he really liked them see I didn’t know what he would like those ones Bend up a bit and then there’s more over here let’s walk along a little bit more so there’s these ones and and I was just saying aren’t they amazing prices really because they are really spectacular and they’re like €109 1301 152 depending on the finish I mean all under €200 for something that really is quite awesome you like that one David oh David likes the one the brassy one €380 of course he would it’s the dearest one they have now this is something I didn’t look at last time but I was just saying to David I like them they do these wonderful shower plates rather than an actual so you can still have it flat to your floor so you can TI straight up up to it and then this is a special plate to put in your shower in all different finishes but nonslip nice and matte lots of different lovely colors really good prices and um you know with already with the drainage hole different kinds of drainage holes in them some of them are a little bit fancier for some reason um but yeah an amazing array as you can see it goes the whole way along and I think they’re really cool don’t you so that’s another way of getting around and having just your shower base one certain color and then your to going up to it yeah I think it I think it can be really really great good afternoon everyone David and I are out for an afternoon walk and we’re in our basically our own back neighborhood if you like we’re in a village that we come to all the time you would have seen us come here many times Capi but we’ve always come for a commercial reason in other words to look at the mercatino de or to do shopping but we realized there was just so much on offer here of things yes David I can see what your going you’re pointing out go up the top up to the top exactly I’ll be turning the camera around because we’ve turned up here we saw a sign yesterday when we were stuck in traffic look at that beautiful massive Church behind us that here at the top of capan in the um Borgo sto the chent sto that there is a massive Villa I think it’s Villa what do we call it ah here we go but is it Bak no Bachi Bachi sorry Bachi and it’s a massive Villa that is has a paral we’re going to have a walk but also it now has a museum as well um and we thought well let’s go and check out what’s sitting on our back step back door step and we don’t even know about and have a wander around so I’m wandering with around with one one um crutch at the moment just nice and slowly so I can still film but I’m doing okay so let’s do some Discovery so that’s what David was just pointing at p and he was pointing up with that lovely Lon on the top and then you have the sign for the museum there as well so we’ve just walked in and there’s this massive it says there’s a big public park attached The Villa so there’s this massive Park park with beautiful very old trees you can tell and a children’s playground which looks lovely and then there’s this entryway up a very long slope now whether or not I’m going to to do that or not we’re deciding because it’s a very can you see that it’s a very long slope going up to the villa and that’s where the museum off obviously is um we’re not sure if there’s another way around the side it’s Clos but I I’ll just show you what’s on the door because I just realized on the gate there was a sign that shows it better with the actual name so it’s The Villa B capan and it’s the Museo archeological Museo Zoological and David looked it up on the internet and it seems to be zoologic as far as it has over 1,400 examples of modern and historic animals from this area um but in um preserved animals what do you call them um I’ve lost the word taxi jery sorry um so it’s archaeological um historical and also to do with the forer of this area around this part of the region of Tuscany so very interesting indeed if you’re history bath or you’re into the history of animals or if you’re into Taxidermy which I know a lot of people are um I believe it’s open every single day from what we could tell and every afternoon I think it opens at 3:30 and we’re here just a little bit earlier so we’ll take a look around and see we may come back another day when I can walk around better but we thought we would check out what was here I was just laughing with David and said it every time I go to film something he turns back back oh oh no he turns it on again yes he’s he’s a busy Gardener anyway I was just saying I’m so sorry I can’t actually physically visit the Villa for you today but we will be back now that we know it looks so interesting it looks like a wonderful place to visit and we are interested in looking at the Museum and we think it’s free entry um it didn’t say anything on the internet about any pricing unless we get up there and it might just be a couple of Euros to go in perhaps but um open most days I think but I’m just not capable of walking up there to be honest with you with one crutch or two um I’m waiting on uh my last doctor’s visit at the moment before finding out out whether I am in need of surgery or not so I’m not pushing myself I can walk around I need to I’m actually more comfortable when I’m on my feet than what I am sitting down but I’m not taking any chances I’m not going to be pushing myself and then make myself any worse so just little walks at the moment and unfortunately the entry to this is probably not very sympathetic to my situation so we’ll leave it for another day a stump of oh no we thought it was a stump of a tree it’s actually a little Fountain a water fountain how wonderful this is a beautiful beautiful old tree here and we’re just saying that some of the trees again um for the public I suppose it’s almost like going into a little Botanical Garden at the bottom or the base of some of the trees they also have the botanical name which is great because there’s so many different varieties of cypresses here in Tuscany so they have the different Mighty names now I’m coming up to now as you can see I’m on the lower lower walk which is not quite as steep as the other one um there are the walls yes and there are the walls of the Villa underneath and then you can see through the trees The Villa above and I can now see the entry I think into the museum we might walk over down on the lower part of the wall there and have a look something you think it’s a dungeon darling you’re always thinking of all those things I bet is too you could be right so under that higher walkway up to the Villa we’ve just found this lovely arched Thorofare let’s say it’s like a grotto going into an old Grotto but you can tell it’s all manmade of course what do we have here just a walkway I suppose wonder if they get bats in here at night bet they do and that just goes through to the other side the children’s playground down there and oh here’s a lovely Vista of the walls of the Villa what magnificent walls this was a very important vill it’s like a fortress actually the way it’s built and look at these beautiful little um sort of mini turrets if you like at each end that look like a pine cone their roofs look like pine cones don’t they it’s beautiful [Music] familiar OA speci I couldn’t hear you darling because of the Whipper snipper Maus Maximus omus noximus flaus fraxus omus oh I wonder what kind of tree that is it’s very pretty foliage but I can’t work out what it is now we’ve just come over to the door that David said was the dungeon and I laughed at him although I can see a window that looks very much like a dungeon and it all looks underground sorry for the motorino noises in the background oh gosh right now this is very interesting indeed SP or now I’m going to tell you exactly what it means and then I’m going to give you David’s impression I was just translating directly which meant you leave of Hope or you enter so David my interpretation is when you’re exiting the dungeon you have hope but when you enter not so much I think you’re right I think you’re right in other words you leave in Hope or you hope to leave perhaps they mean because it would be old sort of use of language so you hope to leave or you just enter in other words you may never get out goodness gracious [Applause] me oh PS gra Linda thank you Linda for the lovely hair dude this morning I went to my hairdresses in keani Linda and she made me feel a whole lot better about how I’m feeling about myself at the moment thank you darling well again something new and impressive joyful world and it’s a big uh obviously a festival running from the 2nd of March to the 17th of July this year and there are obviously choirs that come from all over the world voices of Heaven Creek 1 from Colorado that is the Gospel Choir from Pisa Piccolo Coro from capano itself from here another one that has come from Georgia in the USA and there are the dates here as I go by of each concert so some are in May um that would be over 28th of May or that’s now this weekend oh no wonder there are all these beautiful International flags flying pche which means peace how awesome so there’s going to be some wonderful Choir concerts so now we are in front of that wonderful church I was showing you and there’s been lots and lots of children reading inside and we’re just wondering whether they’re actually running in to practice perhaps they’re part of one of the choirs there’s the little choir of capan that says they’re doing a concert so maybe the children run to the church for practice let’s go in and see well this is very interesting it wasn’t the children it’s a whole lot of adults in here doing an absolute thorough spring clean because of course one of those concerts says it’s on this weekend so if you are in this corner of Tusan Nan in proin Thea and you’d like to sit in a beautiful beautiful I think it looks more like a cathedral though I have to find the name of it I haven’t seen that yet but it’s magnificent then you will be able to see one of these wonderful International choirs sing this coming weekend 28 May ah now we drove up the top and actually we found what would be the official entry I’m sure through the gates I’m just sitting in the car so we’re on the road we can’t stop now but that would be the official entry to the castle or Villa for sure very very impressive indeed okay darling let’s go we’ve just pulled up down the bottom of the village because I’ve always been intrigued by this gorgeous building that is all painted on the front and then next to it is the old theatro just over here this is cafetera scary tabaki Etc lot but it looked like a cute spot we thought we’ll just have a quick afternoon coffee here David now this was a wise choice to stop here we had no idea look what he’s looking at look at what’s above David the gentleman is just talking on the phone when you walk in to the cafe so I filmed outside to show you the name we had no idea I just realized there were lovely old um machines for making coffee milkshakes um spr M so juices some lovely big wine bottles [Music] and mafe perf [Music] oh I think David’s in love with the part and so am [Music] I we are back at biscottini and we just thought we’d come back while they’ve still got their great prices now that via son is almost finished out the front we’re looking at this lovely big planter terra cotta planter box here for at the the front of the steps to put some lovely I’d like to buy a rambling Rose to go up the um the railing and lots of other pretty little flowers so that will look gorgeous so that’s a that’s almost a certainty we’ve been looking at some of the big pots down here down further we’re looking for a pot that is big enough and deep enough and fits the spot to be able to put a dwarf cypress tree not the ones you get driving down someone’s driveway because that’s way too big but a dwarf would definitely fit into a pot and I’ve checked it out I’ve done all my studies and they definitely are happy to grow in a pot if they are a dwarf variety so we’re just checking out lots of pots and I’m also going to look inside for something that I want to see if I can find something really nice also to go in the new window um I said to David it’ be gorgeous to put even a lovely plaque there oh that’s what are these ones these are only €30 for aen sakes now for example a lion’s head would look awesome wouldn’t it what do you think they’re kind of cool for €30 but the only thing is I think it’s only a very small thin wall that he’s putting temporarily so isn’t this gorgeous David oh yeah for the window for the window yeah that could go but the thing is I’m worried that it wouldn’t stick there because the wall is that heavy that’s pretty heavy isn’t it oh oh no it’s Hollow is it light no it’s not light oh no it’s still heavy I’m just concerned because that walls only a temporary wall they’ve built in the window yeah so I’m worried that it might not be strong enough to hold something yeah so we’re kind of thinking we need to just have a planter box or something light up against that so we’ll look and see what they’ve got inside and ask about the other pots as well my darling’s been a busy man this morning oh yes prior to lunch and that’s because he’s been painting the front door to match the shutter upstairs now it was a fairly deep green underneath so it’s going to take a couple of coats of course isn’t it darning that’s just your first coat just finished isn’t it and you’ve done the surrounds as well I can see because wait until it dries yes he can’t he has to actually wait until the rest of it’s dry and also do that a day when we know we’re not going out anywhere and we can leave the door propped open because otherwise it of course will stick and we don’t want that happening um it’s hard in this light actually it looks so much lighter um but there you can kind of see the contrast more actually the the gray against the white of the surround but um that line you can’t tell as much in this light sweetheart through the I don’t think but anyway it’s the same color as what I showed you in the photos and the film up here so it’s just a really lovely light gray that’s an next on call calling his little puppy dog her name is Nina if you hadn’t already known um yes so that’s coming along really really well and we just feel like that color well it’s one of the traditional colors that we’re allowed to paint here because we only have a very small choice of color ways that we’re allowed to use so gray and pale Grays through to a darker gray were allowed and we felt this kind of really lovely pale gray went really well with the lovely new ochre colors of the joints that we have now the pointing on the house oh by the way I’ve put some little flowers in our little ringer box this morning as well and did I show you that I’d put the did I show everybody that i’ put all the I’d put our chair back outside I’ve changed things around a little bit the pot used to sit there it’s now sitting here in the corner um oh there’s people cycling up the hill still there’s been some kind of cycling race this morning and all we’ve heard no cars we’ve heard hundreds of people really struggling up hill on bikes since early this morning those two are way behind everyone else I think um yes so the olive tree has just gone kind of crazy with one branch here but it was kind of a we shape because it was up against the wall so we thought it’s probably going to spread out and have a prettier shape that then I can then cut back at the end of the season um if it’s allowed to be more in the open like that so I’ve just swapped things over put a lot of my other little pots back out here again little climbing ones there the ones that dangle down I should say and I am we just have to still get our uh Jasmine from there back over here there’s Lori walking through my film again Bella so anyways that’s well done daring first first coat first C done awesome [Music] H Denny do you think maybe you put that back on the wrong way I did um I don’t know if I can turn the if it’s pointing downwards and then I have to turn it towards the house it might not work David looked at it went that looks doesn’t look quite right I said no cuz look where the hand whoopsie not to worry darling these things happen it’s all a leering curve my love so are you are you guys on the Tusk and Trail oh well that’s so where have you come to from today uh it’s a great question we from the place town before Sienna a town before what the hell you’re you’re South African though aren’t you I’m South African yeah well we Brothers we both South African but our father is Italian okay this man’s looking destroyed he he’s had a tough there he spit up the hill congrat congratulations though I mean you’re here I’m here is tonight you’re is County your stop tonight or you still yeah oh Hallelujah hopefully right oh in the hotel the hotel we’re going for dinner there now we will with you congratulations I’m so glad you made it wa I think that sounds like a really great idea great idea have a lovely evening thank you so much [Music] bye P Al CH and oh my gosh it’s chocolate Heaven Can you see what my husband’s up to he’s painting he’s just looked at me he’s heard me I’m sitting on my little couch up here in the loung room in my pajamas so or my nighty I should say um he’s doing he’s painting the surround of the front door now what man with a paintbrush although so you w yet to tell because we’re having struggling telling we’ve had to paint the surround it was quite white and bright I don’t know if you can see any difference we’re kind of struggling probably not it’s what ding probably not but technically it is gray now it is gray yes so technically so the whole point is is the commun told us or our geometra told us that we couldn’t have white although we didn’t know that and it was just already white so we just left it basically the color it used to be but it had to be gray but we didn’t want it to be as dark as the front door which as you can see it’s not you can see a definite difference there I think maybe in the this light it might be hard for you let me show you this side perhaps there you can see better so we’ve gone for a light gray which looked way too light so then we’ve gone and bought black um tint which you can here you can buy the actual little tints yourself and mix your own colors which is great so we’ve put a couple of drops into the already pale gray and it’s definitely grayer but we still don’t know whether they’re going to think it’s gray enough so anyways we’ve done David’s done two coats have you done it two coats of the new color or one coat I know one oh one coat one coat of the newer darker color and maybe once it’s totally totally dry we’ll be able to tell and maybe if I step back from the house a little bit more I’ll be able to tell even more but we’re just hoping that’s enough because we didn’t want it to be really gray did we not as no not as gray we want the door to be the grayer color and there to be a little bit of difference a little bit of you know a couple of nuances yeah exactly a couple of contrast sort of Shades in between so we are happy with this whether or not they will be is another story we will let you know we will find out as you said darling um it suits the color of your beard sweetheart and your hair yeah like that really peppery light yeah so you look perfect standing there you’re the perfect I’ll just merge in you you well no but it’s maybe we should go and say is the color of David’s hair sufficiently gray for us to F the door and see what they say how funny oh well you’ve done a great job my love and poor David is totally I don’t know if you can tell he’s totally crooked you won’t tell he’s the crooked man I call him the Leaning tar of pza poor darling he’s put his back out with all the hard work he’s been doing to help me because I can’t do anything and now both of us a kind of he’s pointing to something a kind of injured M ah yes interior green window is that right so next job David’s headed upstairs to do the inside of the shutters which is still the dark green we did the outside and now he’ll do the inside perfect it’s a Friday night and it’s been a big week hasn’t it my darling yeah it’s been a big week so we just thought we’d come down as weeks go well we’ve had a lot of big weeks lately actually I think I’ve had a big week for five weeks since I fell over it’s been a big week so we decided Friday night let’s walk on down and have a pizza because Pizza is very good medicine as far as I’m concerned it is when let’s tuck in [Music] is [Music] [Applause] the J now [Music] my David is taking the car away we just went to the nursery and look look at the beautiful pot and all the flowers that are just about ready to go in so I’m just I’m able to sort of stand in a spot and lean over a bit and do all those kind of things now little by little I’m getting stronger which is great so I’m just going to pop all those lovely flowers in but before I do I wanted to mention just a few people now we have a a little patronage if you like that’s called buy me a coffee and it’s tiny and you’re very few and selective people that have decided to to help us on there and um donate some little funds every now and again to us which is lovely they buy us a coffee let’s say but those coffees I always put them to one side I’ve never bought a coffee I’ve always put them to one side because I like to put that towards a project last year it did pay for a lot of flowers that I grew up on the balcony which our beautiful new balcony it’s doing so well but now that we have this beautiful new po which I’ll show you up close in a second uh that we got on sale at biscottini because it was on sale and now we just gone and got those flowers I want to thank you from my heart sincerely to those beautiful buy me coffee patrons that I always mention at the end of each video but um I don’t say your names and I’m not sure whether you would want me to but thank you thank you thank you gra so this year your little um donations if you like have bought this beautiful tusken pot which is really very glorious and it’s a handmade one on sale and some beautiful beautiful plants that will make the Frontiers so so pretty so thank you so much um David and I are so grateful to you for helping us out that way we’re very very very grateful indeed okay so let’s get this job going so let me show you this beautiful isn’t that gorgeous and It just fits perfectly in this little spot here now I wanted it to have something a little bit taller not just be flowers and I was going to put a rambling or a climbing rose here oh look what I found David bought that for me it’s a little cactus in the shape of a heart I won’t leave it on the stairs um so here I wanted something I was thinking of a rambling rose that would go up here but I’m not sure and I’m too late in the season to do that anyway so that will be a thought that I’ll just keep my eye out on beautiful roses that would grow really well in the shade cuz it’s mostly shaded here and reflective light it’s now 6:00 almost in the evening so of course it’s much darker now um very very lovely evening though great evening for planting but during the day as you would have seen we get a lot of light come through here but not a lot of direct light on the front of the house which is good because Tuscany gets too hot and most flowers just end up frying I found that on my back balcony the one where my washing is there I struggle with knowing what to put there because everything just fries oh here comes my man and look at him he looks like the Leaning toar of peas are the poor thing his back has just gone exaggeration has just gone into spasm so um yeah he’s been doing so much and lifting and doing things that unfortunately he’s got an old injury that’s decided to play up do a dash as well indeed oh well now I’m sorry the wind has decided to start whipping around here but we’re going to start I’m going to start just positioning out how I want the pot the the actual little plants because I’m going to fill this up in fact I’m now thinking I might have even got too much for here because it was hard to judge but that doesn’t matter they can always go somewhere else if they don’t all fit in there um I don’t think they will darling I think we’ve kind of overdone it but that’s fine I’ve got a couple of other pretty pots that they can definitely go into so flowers will always look beautiful um and I’ve got some extra pots that can come down the stairs I might even put a couple more um pots on the stairs like I had last year we will definitely make it extremely pretty and there you go oh I don’t think I showed you this oh gosh let me come up here just slowly bit surely and show you this so for those of you I don’t even know if I showed you this no actually didada another big reveal I didn’t show you that I’d put all the pots and plants back on the balcony since we painted and finished so I’ve got new Bonas and really really pretty aren’t they and these lovely little plants I forget the name of but they’re wonderful they all love the shade my little funny rosemaries from last year that are coming back they they kind of suffered out in the other balcony cuz it was just too harsh for them there so I’ve brought them back here and there’re picking up again this one also suffered but it’s doing really well again now little olive tree that’s going crazy as always and all my other little um hanging plants that are doing really well lots of Ivy and other little flowers so they’re all doing well and I planted my mother-in-law’s tongue with the three cloves underneath it which brings a Bund to your home if you didn’t know that that’s a lovely Buddhist thing so I’ve got my neighbors to do it in front of their home as well they’ve got lots of mother-in laws down so here is the gorgeous the other gorgeous um planter terracotta planter that we did show you but you hadn’t seen it planted up so I bought this beautiful plant the other day and I just loved the color against the Terra Cotta and the yoka colors so that’s lovely and just with the little hanging plants there on the side so what do you think I think it’s looking really really pretty isn’t it and we’ve still got our little gorgeous little um tiles the hand painted tiles that we had hanging either side of the door last year but um haven’t got around to putting those back up yet we have to find the right spot because now that the wall isn’t flat flat you have to find the perfect spot where they’ll sit comfortably and and not got to kind of blow around in the wind because we’re worried they might fall off there you go let’s get back to planting now [Music] well I’m done I’m done and my back and my leg is also done I can tell you right now but what do you think thank you patrons so we have the most pretty colors in there and they will get much bigger much fluffier and maybe they’ll get get too crowded we don’t know if they do we’ll just transplant them but in the meantime it just makes the most beautiful bouquet flowers doesn’t it darling beautiful and we’re happy really really happy so I just step back now and show you oh we still have to bring our lovely um big pot back here that has the Jasmine that goes up which is just around at Fabio and Lor’s and around the corner at the moment because we were worried about them working there but oh there’s little Nina that’s who’s getting called darling little Nina and then of course up to the balcony which is all planted out now as well so and there we go so once the Jasmine is back that will be us for this year here except for perhaps the big pot that goes around the corner we are deciding how we organize ourselves for that because of the work so it’s a bit of a nuisance because we’d really like to do it and I need it to be done with David with me it’s not the kind of thing I would ever be able to do alone so we’re contemplating that one aren’t we darling yeah still it is a tricky one and heavy big and heavy the pot’s big and heavy and the plant will also be the same so there’s no way I’m going to be doing it um not with all the injuries I’ve had and that I’m still getting over of course I haven’t even started treatments they start next week so and there’s David bought did you notice in the timelaps D David bought me down a glass of red wine while I had Filthy Hands and I was in the middle of everything so he fed me a piece of cheese and fed me the wine the darling man always looking out for me are you sweetheart they need feeding and watering a you’re a darling what a man what a man what a man [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so I showed you me planting these nice and slowly I put it in fast speed I I was watching it back in um in fast forward and I thought oh my gosh it looks like I’m so physically capable and yet I was doing that so slowly you have no idea it was just I was determined to do something and I really took my time but I can’t believe how much these are grown already when I first put these little ones in they were right down under the level of the pot and they’ve already crept over the edge this has grown a lot and we put our lovely Jasmine pot back which we I just love and she’s doing really really well the only thing is is that we’re going to train her but we can’t actually put the nails in and train her yet because she may actually get moved back across to laori and Fabio’s house again when the workmen come back in the next couple of weeks because they probably won’t want to PL plant there in case they were to knock it or break it which makes sense so I am just putting her there to look pretty and I’ve tied her stick up to the ring on the wall but I will just leave her there or temporarily let’s say and then she’ll come back again full time later and the other pot we haven’t even brought home yet from the store we just asked them if they could hold it for us because again we can’t really put it there if it’s going to get knocked about or be in the way so look at the difference now our beautiful long pot here at Jasmine back it’s really coming together oh the little hanging basket there which I swapped and put there that will start growing over the edge and with everything else isn’t it pretty what do you all think give me a thumbs up if you like my new front of my house as much as I do I’m sure you do you’ve all been so kind and lovely about it we’re just really thrilled I never ever ever get tired of looking at it I can tell you right now let’s come back here a little bit there we go just that BL and for all of those of you that are curious about our project that maybe have just joined us for all the new subscribers thank you so much by the way for joining us and being a new subscriber we’re really grateful and it’s lovely to have you with us um so this is the little canina next door to ours so our entrance is just around there and this one is AD joining there’s the old doorway over there that will be open up again so at the moment as you can see see lots of stuff coming in here lots of things to do with the job that is waiting to be done but not a lot of movement as yet we’re still waiting just lots and lots of mess but this is all going to go this wall has to go the ground is going to be dug out quite a lot lower to then prepare it for anti-humidity special EG glue things on the floor and all sorts of things then new concrete flooring all of these walls are going be sand blasted this one is actually going to be restructured because it has a bulge in it this one will be sand blasted and partly pointed like outside and then partly um with render so basically I’ll just come back here and turn around for you spin right back around the shower will be up this end a nice glassing shower a small bathroom along here bed area over here there’ll be a new little window of course over there into the bathroom it’s got lovely High ceilings in here and they’re all going to be sand blasted and then with lovely new beams covering those old ones and all of those will come up beautifully the old ones in between the tiles will come up beautifully like our ceilings upstairs it’ll look gorgeous and we’re thinking of putting a nice ceiling fan in this one just so it’s nice and comfy in summer and the old double doors will also be um we’re going to actually have them refurbished and have glass added to the top of them but use them because they’re lovely Old Timber doors and it’s actually expensive to buy new doors so we thought well why not just repurpose them because they are actually good quality they just need fixing and obviously this rounds will be fixed let me touch that so you can see outside better there we go so obviously with the glass you then will have lot more light in here all the time but also you’ll look out to the cute little Courtyard when you’re inside and then over here where all these pieces of Timber you can see the Great Big Timber lentil there that’s the old doorway that used to communicate so that’s going to be punched through into our room next door and that is going to be the little kitchenette and dining area and whatever next door so a cute little apartment down here for friends family anyone visiting and who knows what else who haven’t decided yet so there we go and that’s what you come out to look at cute little Courtyard in the middle of Pi and this is what my balcony looks like sometimes when I’ve got washing out and I had to wear that great big black Terry tailing um robe to go to the pool this morning but I’ll tell you all about that so I’ve just got that earring out it got a little bit wet [Music] [Music]

Great video! It would be nice to hear David's voice. I know he is speaking, but the speaker is not picking it up. Lovely couple and beautiful home.
Lasciate ogni speranza voi ch’entrate. I think this could be the quote over the door m of the dungeon. A quote from The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, found above the entrance to Hell. Abandon hope all ye who enter here is the popular English translation.
Ciao Marisa and David your home and garden is looking fabulous 😍well done 👍🏻
Beautiful!.Well done!❤
The pots and plants have just added another layer of beauty to the facade. It just looks gorgeous the stone and the plants compliment one another perfectly. Loved the video xx
I just love the exposed stonework now. The ccolour of the stones, so pretty. The added touches of plaques, pots & plants…ppp… is turning your place into a really lovely welcoming entry & the whole atmosphere jumps off the screen. You're doing a marvellous job doing everything while still on the crutch. Thankyou David for all your support & extra work. You're a champion. Love to you both🏤🪴🪻🌻🌿🥀🌾🌄
I love your plants. The place looks awesome. Take care and heal.❤
An awesome video, Marisa. Loved the cafe you both went to in the town. Your home is looking so beautiful 😍 Thank you. Sending hugs 😊❤❤❤
The new work looks lovely. The workmanship looks very good. The village must be very appreciative of the improvements… OMG hail. We had hail 3 times last year up here in Tremezzina that wiped out our garden each time we replanted it. Luckily we've had none this year and the garden is finally growing beautifully. Maria e Rowan
Hi Marisa loved 🥰 all your plants and your large planter Pots. . Your Door and shutter colour is really nice too!,I laughed when David Hugged the Pot😁 Your hair looks Pretty 🤩 too. Have a wonderful time together in Tuscany glad that your leg is giving you less pain .Take it easy David too 😊
Another lovely relaxing vlog ❤. Love that new exterior with it's warmth and the natural terracotta pots (we want to visit that place!). Thought about painting the meter cupboard doors on the wall to match the render? You could use a chalk or lime paint to blend the finish. David, you're much more stylishly dressed when painting than me 😅😂. Lots of love to your both ❤️❤️
First I want thank you for always creating such beautiful content and for sharing your life with us. It is such a joy to see the beauty of Italy. May I be so bold as to ask for a slight favor? Would it be at all possible if when you are shooting to not have your hand/arm in the shot? I realize I may be alone in this and am in now way trying to be a troll or to hurt your feelings in any way, and if I have…I am sincerely sorry. Its just that the scenes are so beautiful that your hand/arm are distracting and interrupt the composition of the shot. Again, this is just my personal experience and please forgive me if I have overstepped. Thank you.
Really interested to see the cantina develop. The exterior work you've done is amazing
Since you mixed the color yourself you should call it "" Davids' Grey "",,,,,what a lovely little place you have there ! Ciao
I love your life in your special town – it’s one of my favorites. Can’t wait to visit end of year. Planning on purchasing something just like yours and your town is my top 2 towns/villages. Can’t wait to see what comes up to buy and create our Tuscan dream.
Thanks!
Love that sunset shot over the hills. Also: the steps! You got the steps properly filled in!
Wow, the front of your house looks so amazing, well done! I can't wait to see how you transform the ground floor space.

Just love what you did with the front of the house so warm and inviting. You have a good taste.😊 I was hoping you put the jazzman in that corner not around the corner and you did. It’s like you read my mind.😂 I also was wondering what was behind the green door with all those symbols in a few minutes later you opened it up and explained how much a cool is that.
What a wonderful passegiata
Your house is looking magnificent! And so is your hair!
🌳🍃. You are a charming couple and I am loving your vlogs. I know you are a writer, but are you also a realtor? It would certainly be a great “tie-in”, with all your knowledge of the area, and the expertise to help ex pats find a Tuscan home!🍃💚
