i moved to the u.s six years ago and i find these six things really weird first of all americans are really loud at restaurants i can barely hear my friends speak another thing i actually like a lot there are restrooms in every grocery store and in every cvs in walgreens we don’t have this back in my home country now this is weird in some american cities there are more dogs than kids and this is the case for san francisco i guess people with families prefer to live in suburbs now something really weird that happens in smaller towns people say hi to each other even if they don’t know each other which is by the way amazing i enjoy saying hi to people that i don’t know just because i see them probably one of my favorite things i get compliments from people i don’t know someone would just approach me in the street and say hey i love your outfit this is amazing and another one a cool habit of people who live in my town they start their day by grabbing coffee together with their friends at local cafeterias

you move to the south the only people who say hi to each other are crackheads and loonys asking for money or your stuff..
i mean im half latin half Italian for sum reason i know she aint talking as a n italian and latin we are even more loud.
All of the people in America are talking iver eachother so it makes it seem louder lol
Her: I love that Americans say hi to each other and are friendly even if they are strangers!
*New York City has left the chat*…
Typed in us propaganda on YouTube
What? Sweden has all those except loud people.
Great
I never knew it wasn’t a standard thing for people to say “hi” to people they walk past in the streets-
Also, yea, Americans are loud…especially the ones who aren’t white (I say this as someone who’s half black American and half Haitian…these people get real loud🥲)
Something that's off-putting for me, though, is when people say "Hi, how are you?" but they actually don't give a shizz about how you're actually doing and they just want to fill a few seconds with chit-chat
I don't think the "Hi" is an american thing. I lived in sweden for a few years and strangers there would greet me very often.

Being loud and greeting and hanging is cuz those of us are hearty and we are humble. "THOSE OF US"
