hello I’m David and you’re watching Cru
show UK in this video we’re going to be
trying some of the food options on board
the beautiful celebrity Eclipse we’ll
experience a special lunch in the Tuscan
Grill and we’ll try various options for
breakfast including the Ocean View cafe
room service and restaurant and we’ll
dine in blue choosing items from the
special menu there and try options from
the main dining room menu for all of
this and an unbelievable afternoon tea
stay tuned right to the end

so today we’ve come to the Tuscan Grill
for lunch and it’s a set menu in here
today for lunch and um yeah basically
they bring you everything um so the
first course is mobster pisk with garlic
bread second course is fish cake lobster
tail scallops and Muses and chips and
the third course is filet minion lamb
chops and
shrimps and then dessert is turu if I
make it that far this is my Lobster
dis and the little garlic bread I have
had some
already it’s delicious it’s very hot
very creamy a lovely Taste of the
lobster it’s a good lobster
bis let me give you the scores for my
Lobster bis uh it was really good uh the
actual soup itself was delicious I’m
going to give it a cruser ukuk score
four out of five however the G GC bread
Dreadful absolutely Dreadful it was a
tiny little bit of garlic butter
drizzled on a slice of French bagette
which one out of five my second course
has arrived and it looks and smells good
I’ve got half a lobster tail with some
various Butters there’s a garlic butter
and then there’s a red pepper um oil and
the
uh the fish cake comes with a TARTA
sauce by the look of it and then there’s
a a chili sauce as well so let’s give it
a go just finished the second course
which was the lobster tail and the fish
cake the lobster tail was really nice uh
it was only half a lobster tail but it
was fine um very delicate uh I really
enjoyed it and I liked there was two
Butters that came with it a garlic
butter and a a red pepper uh oil uh
butter and I preferred the red pepper it
was really really nice it just added a
bit of depth to the Lobster cuz it’s a
very mayot taste really enjoyed that and
the fish cake was delicious as well
wasn’t fishy at all um I think it was a
cordal mixture of white fish in there
with various
herbs very delicate again and not a
fishy flavor at all I really enjoyed it
with this uh red pepper uh sauce so in
summary the second course the lobster
and the fish cake were excellent and I’m
going to give it a cruci UK score five
out of
five just as a side note the chips that
came with it Dreadful nothing specialty
about them at all um it was I could have
got them up on the um the the Sund deck
so the main has arrived the filling
minion uh lamb chop and the shrimp
smells really good and and it’s very hot
so let’s give it a
go try the lamb let me give it the
scores for the main course it was okay I
just didn’t feel like there was anything
special about it uh considering we’re in
the speciality restaurant uh the filet
was really nice um very tender delicate
really good and the shrimp I really
enjoyed as well they were cooked really
well and seasoned well the Lamb
Chop was hardly a lamb chop it was Tiny
the smallest cutlet of uh lamb and
didn’t have a lot of taste um yeah not
very special I’m going to give it a
cruci show UK score of three out of five
and the final course tiasu let’s give it
a go it looks quite nice the turumu was
delicious I really enjoyed it um it was
very
creamy very quite boozy lovely coffee
taste really rich flavor uh was
delicious I really enjoyed it five out
of five with a bonus
point the buffet this morning on the
celebrity eclipse and it’s a massive
Buffet lots of cereals there got all
different types of bagels and
toasts peanut
butter
marmalades quants all different
pastries Tel
chocolate what’s this oh omelette
station oh nice with
some undercooked sausages by the look of
it and then on this side we’ve
got all different Meats by the look of
it oh hash browns pork sausages
scrambled eggs what’s this on the end
have
a oh co it’s a whole ham joints that
they’re carving for breakfast not for me
let’s have a look over here
sorry all nice breads lovely baguette
there so much to choose from over there
I can see cold ham and
cheese so much here we’ve been on for 2
weeks and I’m sure we’ve missed a lot of
this Buffet fruits and waffles and
pancakes I can see over there eggs and
more Poached Eggs and More there’s so
much here okay so I’ve got my breakfast
and un con 40 ham and mushroom omelette
with some green purpose as well got a
side of bacon and mushrooms some more
mushrooms and a hash brown which looks
really good and then I’ve got some
Birch’s mole as well which I really
really like I’ve also got a coffee and a
juice really enjoyed my breakfast here
at the buffet this morning and the trick
I found is not to panic because it can
be a bit overwhelming there it’s big and
it’s loud and there’s lots of people but
really think about what you want for
breakfast and then go and search out
have a good look around if you panic
you’ll come back with a sausage a tomato
a box of corn flakes and a whole
pineapple or something like that
something crazy so take your time and
accept that it’s busy and you’ll be fine
um I really enjoyed the food I’m going
to give it Cru show you can score a five
out five and yeah lovely we’ve come to
the Blue restaurant for dinner tonight
and the last time I was here I ordered
everything from the main restaurant menu
but tonight I’m determined to order
everything from the Blue restaurant so
let’s have a look oh there’s two things
that I’m looking forward to the most
tonight one is the service the service
in here is fantastic uh especially the
service we get from Candis uh she’s such
a nice lady and the other thing I’m
looking forward to is is the Bread
Basket they do really good bread in here
and you know I like
bread I just wish the butter was
salted my soup has arrived and it’s more
of a consume really it’s a ricotta
tortillini chicken soup let’s give it a
go let me give you the scores for the
soup uh it was very nice tasty but it
was a little bit too s salty for my
liking um there were two bits of the
ricotta torini in there I would have
liked a couple more pieces cuz that was
quite nice nice and creamy inside and
yes temperature was really good I I
enjoyed it uh I’ll give it a cus UK
School of 38 of5 my second course has
arrived it’s an arugula salad uh it’s
got uh feta cheese there sundried
tomatoes in there toasted pine nuts and
a white balsamic Emulsion let give it a
go looks
nice let me give you my scores for the
arugala salad uh it’s very nice very
fresh nice and light um it’s a good
option if you’re not that hungry the
sundried tomatoes are really
tasty and I really like the balsamic
vinegar as well it’s a nice dish I will
give it a Cru UK School a 4 out of five
Main’s arrived it’s the roasted cornish
hen it smells very nice the sauce that
comes with it has got a a sweet barbecue
taste sorry a sweet barbecue smell so um
let’s give it a
go so my main it was it was only just
okay um you know there not a great deal
to get excited about with a chicken
breast um but it felt good quality
chicken um it smelt better than it
tasted didn’t have a great deal of taste
and I wish that it uh had been served
with some vegetables instead of just a
well a bed of sauce really um I’m going
to give it a crucial UK score a two out
of five it’s dessert time please let me
know in the comments which of these you
would have so the choices are flamb bade

Suzette uh Grand maner caramel
sauce oh there’s bittersweet chocolate
fondant with caramelized bananas candid
almonds and a raspberry that
sounds good or there is no sugar added
chaita mil wheil uh banana
Napoleon which I would have had it cuz
the me Fel I really like but no added
sugar don’t waste my time fine with that
but let me know what you would have um
chosen this is the cor suette it’s not
presented brilliantly to be honest with
you
um but let’s see how it tastes we give
you the scores for the crap Suzette and
it it wasn’t brilliant The Taste was
really good and the the vanilla ice
cream on top was good as well but the
actual pancake was stale I think with
something like this it’s best of its
prepared table side um so yeah the the
pancake it just tasted stale I’m going
to give it a crus show UK score a 2 out
of
five good morning it’s time for my
pre-breakfast breakfast I love to do
this at least once every Cruise um and
let’s have a look what we’ve got first
of all I’ve got a lovely fruit plate
some nice melon there I’ve got some
natural
yogurt and then in this
one I’ve got some nice little
pastries some pan of raisins in there
and there’s a muin and we’ve also got
some fresh coffee and some orange
juice this is a really nice way to start
the day and I recommend that you do it
at least once Cruise just nice and
relaxing it’s lovely out on the balcony
although it’s boiling hot out here but
um yeah it’s a nice way to start the day
so today we’re going to be in St kits
and we’re going to an allinclusive it’s
called Sunset Reef I’ll put all the
details about that in the description uh
we booked it
independently and uh hopefully we’re
going to have a good day there it’s all
the drinks there free and um it’s
boiling hot so I think we’re in for a
lovely sunny day in some kits really
enjoyed my pre-breakfast breakfast it’s
a great way to start the day and I’m
going to give it a Cru show UK score
I’ll give it a four out of five it’s a
nice experience come to the Blue
restaurant tonight for dinner and it’s
sheet night again and there is Lobster
on the menu I’ve been waiting for it the
whole cruise actually they’ve got two of
my favorites they’ve got the lobster and
they’ve got beef wellington I’m ordering
both of them
if you’re wondering about the lighting
it isn’t my camera they’ve really dimmed
the lights in here but I’m going to
persevere and uh we’ve been on the ship
for nearly two weeks now traveled all
the way from Rio de Janeiro to New York
where well we’re approaching Bermuda and
the next up is New York and we’ve had a
fantastic time and this Blue restaurant
is really really wonderful I love eating
in here the staff yeah fantastic
candise the assistant mat has been
fabulous and Tay one of the waiters here
she’s so funny and solimon as well he’s
only a young lad but uh gives us
brilliant service so they deserve a
shout out um but yeah if you’re
wondering about the lighting that’s what
it is it’s not the camera they’ve just
dimmed the lights so for the starter
I’ve ordered the crab cake here we go
let’s give this crab C cake a try it’s
not something that I would normally
order but I really enjoyed the crab cake
and as I said it’s not something that I
would normally order uh but I really
enjoyed it the crumb coating was really
crunchy and the filling was light creamy
wasn’t overly fishy I really enjoyed it
five out of
five my main has arrived it looks
brilliant the waiter has put the LOB on
the same plate as the uh Beef Wellington
and he’s removed the shell for me let’s
tuck in delicious I finished my man the
lobster was really creamy very buttery
very delicate um I really enjoyed it and
the beef wellington was amazing uh I
love Beef Wellington it was cooked just
how I like it I’m going to give it a
cruci show UK score a five out of
five this is my dessert I’ve gone for
the poached pear
which isn’t presented how I thought it
was going to but it looks nice also at
the table we’ve got the baked Alaska
which also looks amazing I finished my
dessert and I liked it the poached pear
was cooked really well and it had it
reminded me of something you would have
at Christmas it was had like a Christmas
spice to it uh I really enjoyed that the
ice cream not so much um it was quite
icy had ice crystals in it so it wasn’t
a great vanilla ice cream but I really
enjoyed the pair I’m going to give it a
cruch show UK score I give it a three
out of
five this morning we’ve come to a blue
restaurant for breakfast and I think I’m
in the mood for some eggs so maybe I’ll
have an omelette or they do a really
nice asparagus kitata um which is very
nice um but I’m just going to have a
look through the menu and then I’ll
order all right so to start I’m going to
have a a lovely fresh orange juice and
then I’ve got a mixed berry smoothie
coffee and a little apple crumbled
Danish egg Benedict looks really nice I
don’t normally have this so it’ll be
interesting just finished my eggs
benedict and I really enjoyed it the
English M was lovely and fluffy very
fresh the poached eggs were cooked
perfectly L runny Center cooked perfect
and the hollay sauce was lovely and
silky smooth I really enjoyed it I’m
going to give it a Cru show UK score
I’ll give it a 4 out of five I really
enjoyed it and I’ve also got some thick
fluffy pancakes with some maple
syrup let me give you the scource for
the pancakes I really enjoyed them they
were lovely and thick and fluffy um
lovely taste um the maple syrup was
beautiful um I’m going to give it I’m
going to give back my Cru UK score four
out to five as
well I’ve really enjoyed the breakfast
here in blue this morning such a lovely
place to come and have breakfast so much
better than the uh the buffet The Bu
it’s the buffet is just not for me it’s
just too busy um but here it’s nice and
relaxed the crew here service is
fantastic they’re so friendly really
enjoyed
it come to the Ocean View cafe for an
afternoon tea quite hungry cuz I haven’t
eaten anything for at least an hour and
uh are you like me especially if you’re
from the UK do you bring your own tea
bags on the cruise I always bring my own
tea bags I don’t know what they serve on
on some of these American ships it can’t
be classed as tea this isn’t my first
time at afternoon tea on the celebrity
Eclipse I haven’t had much success um up
to now so I’m hoping today is going to
be better than before I came up here the
other day and the scones were as hard as
rocks and I really don’t think they use
self-raising flour flat as a pancake it
was like a
frisbee so the afternoon tea is served
here in the Ocean View cafe between 3:30
and 4:30 every day um it’s the only
afternoon tea served on board the ship
um they used to
serve it in the main dining room and in
Morano but they seem to have done away
with that but you can get it here every
day so I’m starting with some Savory
items I’ve got a cheese and ham Kish an
avocado and peppers open sandwich and a
very nice looking Chicken Roll let’s
give it a go now I think they forgot the
cheese with this um key it’s very much
just like ham on top of scrambled egg
can’t taste the cheese at all course for
my Savory starter overall it was uh it
was pretty good uh apart from the kiche
I’m going to give it a Cru show UK score
a three out of five I’ve just been to
get my
scones clotted cream and jam except it
wasn’t clotted cream it was the whipped
cream which I’m you know I’ll have to
put up with but the jam they’ve only got
pineapple jam pineapple
uh well maybe this will catch on in the
UK pineapple jam Let’s uh maybe this
will be a new thing a new craze let’s
give this a
go I’m pleasantly
surprised pineapple jam who would have
thought it’s very different it’s
refreshing and it feels lighter in some
way very nice just about finished up
here at afternoon tea but let me give
you my scores for the scones I think
they were just about okay um the I’m not
sure about the pineapple jam whether
it’s going to catch on or not but I will
give it a cruser UK score a three out of

Sometimes I do get overwhelmed with so many choices of food. I enjoy food but have to stop eating before I stuff myself into feeling horrible.
Some of us can’t have sugar! Don’t waste my time with that is unfair, they’re trying to include everyone

Looks good, glad they're back and competitive. My last Celebrity cruise was in 2019, Blu on Eclipse, when they were having major supply chain shortage. No maple syrup after we left Canada, and no pineapple while we're docked in Hawaii? My main complaint was other than salads with minimal garnish, we went 12 nights with no vegetables. I even took an offer of half price specialty dining lunch, just to get a servicing of green beans.
