we can’t wait for you to see this house
in the town of santalia aan in
mol we won’t display the prod
just yet so please stick around with us

the amazing surprise that we have in
store for

you santaa is a beautiful Town located
in molis and it’s population is around
1,500
[Music]
people it is located among forests Hills
and small mountains and it is well known
for its production of olive
oil selia is about 50 minutes from the
beach however it is only about half an
hour from the capital of molis which is
Camp
baso yes we know you have become
accustomed to seeing homes closer to the
beach on our Channel but do not be too
quick to dismiss this property as you
will be surprised about what it has to
offer plus a a little
surprise we assure you it is worth your
while here we have the ground floor and
entrance here we have the kitchen or one
of the kitchens up here and we have a
bedroom actually which is over there and
then here we have our Cantina storage
etc etc and then on top we have another
bedroom one attic over here and a second
attic up there this home is semi
detached on three sides which is
amazing and from this
side we will
see our full bathroom and a second
kitchen that they have set up there
Unfortunately today is not the best day
it is right now the beginning of Spring
so it’s been raining quite a bit but um
you can see that the houses around are
very well-kept the town is a very
well-kept Town um and yes we hope that
you enjoy this video let’s check it out
okay guys so we have the street here and
the main street of town is just maybe
one or two blocks over it that way we’re
super centrally located over that way we
have one of the supermarkets of the town
we have a beautiful Street very well um
taken care of park there and very nice
houses around you unfortunately this car
is here so I can’t really
show you stay from from there but as we
enter as we enter we have this room so
very high

ceilings there is a window on the side
here and remember that this is a corner
house so you have the street there the
um window should give us hips of light
and also as you notice on this door
which you probably um will replace later
is one of those doors that has um wood
and glass so you will have very very
nice light coming from there over here
we have a little toilet if you can
see there this house hasn’t been
inhabited for a long time so um you will
understand the few cobwebs and the um
items the the that um are lying around
it’s just part of the history of these
beautiful
houses and we were speaking with one of
the Architects and um she explained to
us the situation here so I’ll put that
clip um right away do they have to rep

see okay so she said they don’t know if
this is happening from the house next
door or from the path coming there so
they will have to take this off and she
said that there is um a product that you
put there and what it it does is help
the water helps the water evaporate so
it doesn’t um
engorged or inflates no what the
word okay so as we turn over here we’re
going to see the Cantina there we have
have the main entrance over there and
you can see the ceiling and all over
there are beautiful details in this
house just really waiting for you to
reveal those there’s a little bit of
storage here under the stairs and as we
enter here we have the Cantina

you’re going to need the help of an
architect of a geometra to create a
project and bring it to the commun for
them to approve it with the plans um
that you have
this is another door that has been one
of those with the glass and wood so at
some point this Cantina would have had a
lot of light once those shutters were
open if we go back over
here we go
upstairs
via this way
okay the stairs are a bit deep but I’m
short and I can manage it so maybe
people that are taller than me wouldn’t
find it too um difficult
we just came from there and we enter an
area let’s call it the living
area again you have high
ceilings and this room feels in good
condition look of course everyone has
different standards but to us this looks
good in this room at some point point
they would have had the kitchen over
here and remember those were simpler
times a kitchen was a sink and somewhere
to cook and the area that they used for
cooking was the fireplace which is over
there so at this point where I’m
standing we have the front of the house
over there and the side street is over
here so over this way we have a window
that faces the side
street the windows are in good condition
these ones are
aluminium you have your
fireplace and a
balcony and this balcony faces the front
of the
house so that little cute Park that I
showed you at the beginning of the video
is over
there oh this area here could look so
cute you could refurbish that and it
will give this room even more
character okay from here we can go to a
bedroom over that way or if we turn
around we could go to
uh another bedroom over this
way pretty good
size maybe 20 square m or
so with a
balcony so at the moment we have double
windows in the sense that you have one
door there and another door here and and
that’s probably one of the things that
you will do in this house as well will
be to replace the some of the windows
which will help um with insulation if
you update those

things very nice size and if we go out
of here and we turn right we go back to
the kitchen on the stairs that we came
from and if we turn left we’re going to
find find another area where they set up
another little
kitchen and this is the other

throughout the house but most likely the
impant or the setup needs to be replaced
because the radiators and the CIA what
do you call a
CIA
um okay I’ll put the word in English in
a minute on the screen the CIA needs to
be replaced um of course because the
whole system hasn’t been
operational now we’re back here in this
kitchen I’m crazy about this whole setup
here it’s so cute um let’s go upstairs
to our older
bedroom so since you have been so
patient and are still enjoying this
video we will tell you the big
surprise the big surprise is that this
home is actually a €
home can you believe that scratch what
you think you knew about what a
one-year-old home is supposed to look
like this house we loved since the
moment we saw it and couldn’t believe
the

now we’re back here in this kitchen I’m
crazy about this whole setup here it’s
so cute um let’s go upstairs to our old
bedroom again similar stairs to the ones
from the ground
floor and we have a very large bed
bedroom here super bright and Airy and T
we have another balcony there again
that’s the front of the house this is
the side
street and those are the stairs that we
came
from if we go over here we’re going to
find an
attic very large space
already with a couple of Windows
actually one window and one
Skylight original flooring there by the
looks of
it h very very interesting space and
actually you guys this house even though
it hasn’t been occupied for a long time
it doesn’t feel damp it doesn’t have any
funny smells so I think that whomever
buys this house is going to have
something very very nice um to work with

and it actually looks in good
condition so
probably the water damage that you saw
on some of the
walls in the floors below were caused
before occurred before the roof was
replaced because as I said this looks
pretty
good that’s the front of the house over
there and
you already have some Replacements
there okay let’s go
downstairs actually by the way very nice
high
attic I’ll turn the camera around so
that you
see in relation to
me good and of for for storage I
wouldn’t put another bedroom here the
head um height is not good enough for
that but for storage
perfect

here hi guys so this is our house this
is our first 1o
home it’s got incredible potential so so
I’m just going to go through a quick
runaround of what I would do so starting
at this room this is this is on the
second
floor so what I would do with this room
is I would turn this into a wet bar
actually and this into the lounge room
so the main the main living area it’s a
really good size it’s about 30 square m
all
up and then um we’ll go through this way
and I’ll show you down here where
there’s a there’s a
bedroom so as Fel showed you that’s the
first
bedroom this has been used as a kitchen
but there’s no way I would keep this as
a kitchen I turn this into a laundry so
you’ve got the the Bas in here already
the water just put a washing machine and
dryer here clean this up put some maybe
put some cupboards or something and then
the lawn the bathroom renovate the
bathroom they’re full bathroom yeah full
bathrooms perfect okay and then we
go back through here now the third floor
is is only a bedroom but a really good
siiz bedroom with an attic which I would
turn into an office and then a top attic
or the the second attic is only for
storage yeah so we won’t go there and
then on the ground floor I’ll tell you
what we do down there well I’ll put on
the screen
so so
this this has got multiple uses besides
it’s got a a half bath
here a little
toilet maybe we could leave that there
but this area here
I would make into a
kitchen and dining area so probably I’d
put the kitchen here in the
corner and dining maybe like a small
round table here mhm um so you leave
this passage free yeah so I put the
bench
here a sitting bench kitchen behind and
maybe a round table here sort of dining
table leave this free here to get
through fix picks up the bathroom and
then through here this room B it’s been
used for storage so it wouldn’t fit a
car at the moment you you could put a
scooter in or something but it it’s
possible to to ask permission to get it
widened but that’s part of a project to
do it and then it could be a garage
however I wouldn’t do that I would just
park out on the street like everyone
else yeah and I’d use this as as a a
second uh living area so you got the
kitchen and and small dining there and
then in a nice big living area here like
a TV room or something like yeah so have
two more louy sorry more loungy more
loungy so I have two living
areas this house is incredible the
condition of this house for it to be a
onee house this is you don’t get this
all the time no it’s a very unique the
condition of this house is so unique um
we were talking before and on average it
could be between 600 to 7 100 um per
square meter of renovation and of course
that is just a base once you start
moving walls and doing one thing and
another there are little surprises but
it’s totally worth it do we measure the
total size of this house I haven’t got
the title but I’ve got all the
measurements I I’ll put the title up
yeah I think it’s totally worth it
because of the size of the house and the
location and the condition of the houses
around it yeah it’s got beautiful
character um points around the house
nice architecture old school in regards
to this okay so we saw we’ve seen this
water damage and they’re not sure if
from the house there or however I’ve
been on on the outside and it looks like
right in the corner here there’s a
there’s holes in the stone yeah and
there’s a water pipe going down from
next door which which basically empties
straight into this okay so the GU run I
actually yeah I actually think we’ll
have a look but I think it’s a simple
fix and I don’t think it’s the house
next door okay so it’s probably just
walking going down through there and
it’s creating this moisture but once
that’s fixed up I mean of course you’d
have to get a geometer or an architect
engineer to look at that I’m you know
that’s just from my my observations
we’re not professional of
course but this house great house the
other hous is there okay can you show me
the holes that you were talking about
yeah oh
sugar ah sorry that the car is there
because we could have um observe this
okay to the hole there ah okay yeah yeah
and then the water is just coming so
when this is full on yeah um cuz that’s
exactly where it is yeah um but of
course you know you might they might
want to look at
that

see it’s easy to

  2. Oh yeah, that water is emptying right against the foundation – needs to be fixed, and the water needs to be directed out into the street. Very interesting place for only 1 Euro! Probably needs between 50-75K to fix up but even so that is a great price for that space! Great find! :=8)

  3. Very nice, so much potential. For myself, it’s kinda hard to evaluate the £1 houses vs other inexpensive houses in the £20-40£ range, that would be livable with only minor repairs. This town does seem like a great size and location, in terms of what I’d like, if it gets bus service.

  6. Before you announced the price I said to myself: I could offer 1 Euro. That's indeed the right price for a house that needs to be rebuilt entirely, in a remote location.
    The mayor of Sant'Elia has made the right choice to join the 1 Euro programme.
    Did you know there's a fantastic bakery in Sant'Elia? That's a good start for anyone who wants to live there.

  7. i would add a covered terrace with a bathroom on top of the house. add a bathroom to every floor. add more and expand existing balconies. change the kantina into a garage/work shop. change the good kitchen into a laundry room with floor to ceiling storage for a dry/canned food larders. change the older kitchen into ??

  8. Always the interesting 'finds'. Isn't it funny how charming that little niche of the kitchen sink? I rented a place in the 80s that had a similar design—amazingly efficient. A corner property w so much light and sky to enjoy.

  9. What I would do is open up access to the cantina to the other ground floor room. One of those rooms is the new kitchen. So you have a living room in either ground floor room and a second living room where the old kitchen is. To make a 3rd bedroom out of the second floor attic should be easy. Now you have a modern 3 bedroom home. The second floor kitchen needs to be a laundry.

  11. The building's bones are sturdy, no one can redo buildings like these anymore for the price of restoring them for a low cost project. Italy is on my bucket list for 2026, and these videos are tempting me to buy a home there.

  13. Thanks for your very good overview. Nice looking town. Park view across the road and trees elsewhere is good. Painting the front of the property significantly improves appearance in a simple way.
    Like your approaches toward possibilities. Could also focus on totally remodelled kitchen in the existing separated kitchen room, rather than downstairs. Similar remodelling approach for the bathroom. Build and plumb a small, separated laundry room in that large entry area below leaving the rest as large living space. That wall needing to be rebuilt would motivate redesign and rebuild of all that large lower area. The bedrooms on different levels provides good level of privacy. New heating system for the entire house. Few new doors and windows. Paint the entire interior after all construction and then a monumental cleaning. Doable and certainly much better than expected for one Euro. Nice new two bedroom place with good storage and living areas once completed.
    Architect plans approved at mercy of the bureaucracy is the issue. With potential for this approval process to become endless, or at least a drawn out process. I like what Italy is trying to do with these renovation incentive programs. However, it seems rather one sided toward the buyer/renovator sorting all problems that have built up over a long time. Then be at the mercy of the Comune of what needs to happen. Clear expectations for the renovation from the outset is needed from the Comune. Definitely need to be on site to check it all out. Find good architect and gather good understanding of how renovation works in Italy. Thanks again!

  15. I have fixed and flipped a few homes in the U.S. and have and idea of time / cost here but not in Italy. I don't know the supply /demand of laborers, red tape & permits if any and material costs. That would be a helpful video sometime..

    Is it possible to extend the first floor restroom into a full bathroom?

    I would also turn one of the attics into an art studio.
