living luxuriously in Rome for my birthday (5 star hotel, food & wine, sightseeing vlog in Italy)

for my 24th birthday I decided to spoil myself and visit Italy! I stayed in Rome (at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria hotel!!!!!) for a week! got to explore all of Rome, eat lots of good food, and sightsee. Highly recommend visiting Rome in early January, no tourists and hotel + flight prices were CHEAP

I just landed in Rome spoiling myself a
bit because it’s my birthday trip I’m
staying at Rome Cavalier a Wald hisory
hotel and I love it already I normally
wouldn’t stay somewhere as luxurious as
this but the hotel prices were EXT
extremely reasonable I guess it’s
January visit in January guys I am so
excited to try all the Italian food the
hotel comes with a spa so you already
know where you’ll find me every single
day for lunch today I’ll be trying the
one Michelin star restaurant Aroma it’s
right above the Coliseum it has good
reviews but I know Michelin restaurants
can sometimes be a hit or miss
especially the ones in more touristy
locations like this one so far the food
is kind of mid but I would definitely
say the view is carrying it’s so
stunning this isn’t my first time in
Rome but it will be the first time I get
to spend a whole week here and I’m so
excited for it honestly the desserts of
petite Forest are super
cute all right off to do some more
touristing this is the monumento avorio
emmanu which is a monument of Victor
Emanuel II I don’t know how to say
second in Italian but you can go all the
way up I think the tickets were like $5
or something so I’m excited to see this
view of roome oh my gosh it is stunning
wow the building itself is free to enter
but there’s really not much in it so if
you’re visiting I would recommend taking
this elevator ride and going to the roof
there’s not that many tall buildings in
Rome so I think this one is definitely
worth
it all right let me out of this

everything Rome is just so historic and
all the buildings feel so authentic that
like I’m grateful there aren’t
skyscrapers here you can see the
Coliseum and the forums and everything
on this side and this other side is the
Vatican and the rest of the city sorry

guide still really busy as you can see
even though it’s like 11: oh it’s like
10:00 p.m. here um but I hope you guys
are all doing well um this is R
obviously it’s not fake it’s real it’s
the trby fountain I was actually hoping
to find like a little restaurant or
something around here to sit but things
are kind of shutting down so we might go
and try to do that and see if there’s
like a late night bar or anything um but
I wanted to show you guys first
obviously the fountains cuz I think
these are like one of the most famous
things about Rome we are currently at
Trevy fountains in Rome and we’re going
to go on a little late night four um of
all the places in Rome that we can visit
obviously late at night I don’t actually
know which ones we can’t go into
anything it’s not like we can go into
the Trevy Fountain a lot of it is just
like really nice um to see so yeah
anyways that’s what we’re going to do
tonight as you can tell a lot of other
tourists also think that Rome is really
pretty at night yeah obviously this is
my police car I drove here in this
police car here let’s go to the front

there’s a lot of things so the route
that I plan out for us is that we’re
going to go from the Chevy Fountain to
the pantheon which is pretty close to
here I actually did this when you’re uh
when I was like a kid with my mom so
this is like pretty what’s the word for
it sentimental it’s kind of sentimental
I guess it’s kind of sentimental so yeah
I came here with my mom back in like
2019 so it wasn’t even that long ago um
at that time I was living in Germany um
and we took like a train not a train a
bus tour around Italy so it was really
fun um I actually went to that exact
gelato shop with my mother all right
we’ll just make our way over to Pantheon
if you see anything cute and small we
can maybe stop in and grab a bite or
maybe a glass of wine or something oh
there’s a lot of stuff that’s
open should we get something to drink
eat TR what do you guys think should we
do our walk let’s see everything first I
agree actually I’m sure there’s going to
be a lot of touristy stuff open it’s
only safe to be out for so long you know
actually I don’t know anything about the
safety of Rome is it safe to walk around
in Rome late at night I mean it’s okay I
have all of chant to protect me so it’s
totally fine but I don’t speak speak any
Italian I have

learned they’re just so many cute things
and all the cobblestone streets and it’s
like you can really feel

have you seen a vending machine that
sells coffee beans I don’t know what it
means but one of the signs here says

I mean I think it’s just poor

Pantheon guys I have no idea what this
building was used for but would you like
me to tell you oh I Googled Pantheon I
got the one in France what about the one
in Rome I’m in Rome buddy okay so this
is built in wait it says date of
construction is uncertain that’s kind of
lame okay well it’s old it’s at least 5
years
old let’s just go with that it’s
definitely older than that then wish be
I mean I’m not wrong it’s definitely at
least 5 years old the pillars are huge I
wish I could stand next to it for
comparison but it’s a really large
building like it is humongous I wish I
could take you guys inside cuz it’s
really cool on the inside but I don’t
think they allow that anyways so we just
going to have to see it from from this
from this outside angle but it is
massive see that is a human and that

pillar it is at least two humans

by that guy just driving around look at
it there’s just an archway in between
these two buildings what’s that thing

that kind of architecture anywhere in
the world that’s so cool I really like

like warm it’s not like hot but it’s way
more Mediterranean than Paris is which
is really nice like the weather here is

nice this is Rome and up in front I
learned this today you’re going to see
it much better in a second is I I know
what this building is called God damn it
Victorian
but yeah over there is victoriano and
it’s really pretty um obviously we won’t
be able to go up on the stairs right now
cuz it’s dark at night but there is a
really cool statue and it’s a huge
building actually it’s a really really

can see their heads right now as we get
closer I won’t be able to see you won’t

see that statue in the middle over there

had these giant statues on the top and
honestly I don’t know how they got those
there but yeah yes we are close to the
Coliseum hopefully the pizza places are
still open no worries are still open
after okay this today this area was so
freaking busy like so busy
but um now obviously at night it’s a lot
more quiet which is really nice

alive despite my mom telling me to not

Rome like there’s so many things to see
like my eyes are fixated on this giant
Coliseum and there’s also like the arch
of Constantine like Constantine probably
it was really cool and his Arch deserves
to be seen But like I’m so focused on
the colosio I don’t even see that boom

human well we need someone actually
going really close to it but
like it is at least five humans

apparently closes at 4:30 which I was
really surprised by so I was already too
late today to go in but it looks really

Fountain today we’ve done a whole bunch
of stuff it’s midnight I should get back

Coliseum which you guys might have seen
from the IRL stream but I’m going
inside what’s really insane about the
colum is that it’s basically built in 70
AD like all of this 70 ad0 what were you
doing in
7080 the amphitheater seated some 50,000
Spectators to keep the people happy they
also gave out free food it’s crazy that
the Gladiators literally fought right
here 2,000 years ago there’s no floor
anymore so you can see what’s underneath
it’s honestly so cool to be somewhere
that has been talked so many times
throughout history The Forum grounds are
really gorgeous too for centuries the
Forum was the center of day-to-day life
in Rome and honestly with how many
tourists are here it still feels that
way but it’s so beautiful everything is
kind of well preserved

the city because I want pizza Italian
pizza is the best I love past said too
and I found this really cute place
called trerna lucifero which does
truffle on top of everything look at how
generous they are with their truffle and
these dishes are not expensive this is
like
€20 plus their bottles of wine are so
affordable as well look at him just
scraping truffle over everything so much
truffle the rest of this video is just
going to be this very generous owner
scraping truffle over all my dishes

this is insane what the heck so much

to say that the 90% of the wine that we
have heing are natural wine okay organic
wine 90% you said 90 wow that’s a lot
the most of it because this one is also
our our choice to to make choose natural
wine because we believe that the taste
and the expression are more interesting
respect the conventional conventional
wine conventional wine yeah with the
climate change of ear in recent years as
it gets hotter sumers how much is that
changing the uh Italian wine
industry really really good
uh good question I didn’t know you guys
were smart guys so the climate change
actually so we are able to to feel heat
and it’s something that affected a lot
the the maturation of the grapes you
know what actually this is a good point
the olive oil here is so good like in
Italy in general and there’s so many
types of olives and I never knew about
well okay I knew about all the other
types of like I knew about olives but I
didn’t realize how serious it’s Italy
took their olive oil
yeah if you don’t want to drink
alcoholic wine you can also make a
tasting olive oil that is something
amazing amazing okay yeah a lot of
options so now N I want to to bring you
three different type of grapes and so
the first one it’s from Pont red oh it
smells very
Jammy we have so many Wines in front of
us so many the for example the second
one it’s a wine that come from Calia
region so oh I’m take the map yeah we’ll
take the map we’ll also for everybody
who’s wondering come from this area yeah
we are in the region ofont and uh this
part of Italy is quite popular the
Barbara grapes and also is the place
where you can find the best expression
of Barbara the second red that we have
comes from Calabria region so
yes at the tip of Italy we are near the
city of baa and I think this one is a
really lovely expression let’s try
