but we are in bolo we are um I’m
actually on the hillside right now
looking down into the commune of bolo uh
bolo is a very famous Vineyard area here
in Italy we just did a tour of maresi uh
de bolo uh fantastic bolo Winery here
that makes makes the BOS they age for a
minimum of 36 months I believe and a
year in the bottle it’s a commune that’s
a commune of bolo where the famous R
wines are made there’s Vineyards
everywhere here the soil here is very
very clay rich and it kind of changes as
you go down the mountain here and go
back up to the peak so soil changes
which is why bolo has a lot of single
Vineyard designations here I think
there’s six or something uh that the
single Vineyard designations which means
that a wine produced like right behind
me here the same grape same aging
process as a wine that’s made Maybe
right there is going to could be a very
different wine and that’s really what’s
cool about a lot of these wine regions
the soil uh the way the slope is um same
grapes same wine making but different
different wine uh you can taste the
differences in them so just to put this
in perspective here we’re in bolo
barbaresco is right
here um monat is right here uh this is
where the famous Asti spumanti wine
comes from the sparkling wine uh that is
uh that’s in this whole region here so
they make Barbara they make barbaresco
they make bolo and 12 kilometers in that
direction over there is dogani now
dogani is the king of the doletto wine
red wine doletto grape if you like
doletto folks you must try dogani we
have after here we’re going to be
spending two days in lamora then we’re
heading up into Lake Garda pello cmon
we’ll be in Verona we’ll be in negr uh
we’ll be in Val pachell
lugana uh all through Suave and again
