I Went Grocery Shopping In Naples, Italy, Here’s What Happened…| Italy Vlog #8

My family and I have been living is Italy as foreigners for a little while now and I thought now would be a good time to share the grocery shopping experience here in Naples, Italy. As a military spouse, I know that going on base to go grocery shopping in the commissary is always an option but after living in Naples, Italy for seven months, I think the best quality groceries are in the local Italian grocery stores. In this video, I will be taking you with me to two grocery stores in Naples Italy and I will be sharing how much we spend on groceries. After watching my experience grocery shopping in Naples, you will have a better understanding on what to expect grocery shopping in Italy.

One joural good morning what’s going on y’all welcome back to my channel my name is sha if you’re new here and I’m about to head out to go grocery shopping I’m actually running behind I thought today would be a good day to take you all with

Me now let’s be clear I normally don’t look like this when I go grocery shopping most times I’m like the Ving going to the grocery store just throwing whatever but I did some new things to my hair and I’m like you know what today is the day to look cute so

Yes I’m being extra so let’s go to the store y’all as you all know I’ve got my reusable bags cuz if you watch my house Essentials for living here in Italy you know reusable bags are a must so let’s Go something that my husband and I both appreciate and love about Italy is that you can tell the difference in regards to the quality of the food here everything is definitely fresh in our opinion there is minimal modifications to the food I we feel like Italy does a

Good job in ensuring that the produce and the meats that they sell in the grocery stores are locally Source you will see certain fruits and vegetables and meats that come from other countries but most of the time they’re coming from another European country but I mean the

Quality of food out here is just phenomenal and that is a mutual love and appreciation my husband and I both enjoy about being here in Italy and personally in my opinion whichever grocery store you decide to make your personal favorite I honestly don’t think in regards to the quality of food you’re

Going to go wrong because every store that we shop at the quality of food is just A1 Marcus she trying to put it in the Cart good job hold it up hold it hold it Up three four 5 I think in general here in Italy they do a phenomenal job of selling produce that is in season and that is locally grown yes you’ll have some fruits like avocados pineapples things that you would normally see grown in Italy that they import from other

Countries but for the most part A lot of the fruit out here is locally Grown so store number one is down we typically have to go to two stores to get everything that we need that may be different for you if you’re moving out here but just be prepared that there’s a possibility you may have to hit two stores to get everything but conad is

Our favorite we love conad I feel like conad out here depending upon if you go to like the Super Store conad um you should be able to get most of the things you need um and then we kind of finish everything up at a Euros spin or at the

Commissary so we are headed to the good old Eur spin to finish up the rest of our shopping on this beautiful rainy gloomy [Applause] Day [Applause] Y I am starving right now starving I’m starving I’m tired I’m I’m ready to sit down grocery shopping was a lot today but just put everything away and I wanted to give you all a little rundown breakdown of what we spent so we went to two stores today and

At and at conad the first store we went to we spent $799 which equates to about $86 $43 and then we went to your spin for a few things and we spent $292 so that adds up to be about $22.83 so we spent a little less than

$110 in total for us personally that’s like spoton or how much we spend in groceries here evaluate that compared to what you’re spending potentially in the US and kind of see if it’s a little bit more a little bit less but I think we’re we’re we’re happy with what we’re

Spinning let’s just say that but thank you all so much for watching this video If you enjoyed it please make sure you like comment and subscribe if you have any questions please put them down below in the comment section I’m starving so I’m about to go get something to eat

Y’all thanks for watching and as always I’ll see you in the next video below peace

  1. Loved this video. As a foodie, I so enjoy grocery shopping in other countries. The meat and seafood looks fantastic. You have such an excellent assistant, too. lol

  2. Thank you this is helpful! Do you know if any of the stores there carry frozen breaded chicken nuggets/tenders? I can make my own of course but am still curious to know if they have them.
