One of my favorite parts of this trip was wandering the streets of the city of canals, Venice. Thereโ€™s a special energy to this place with sea green water flowing through it. The locals are friendly and passionate about the food and wine. I was lucky to receive local recommendations that I loved. Here are some things you must do next time you visit:

1. Located a little ways from the touristy path, Vino Vero @vino__vero is a local winebar serving globally sourced wine & Cicchetti – small snacks or side dishes. Vino Vero cicchetti include gourmet tiny open faced sandwiches with bold flavors that you can pair with their recommended wines. Enjoying my wine & cicchetti while sitting next to the canal at sunset was one of my favorite Venice experiences.
2. For unique gifts or mementos of your time in Venice, stop by @feelinvenice. All the products are 100% designed in Venice by local artists.
3. Visit Piazza San Marco, often known in English as St Markโ€™s Square, is the principal public square of Venice, Italy, where it is generally known just as la Piazza. Considered one of the finest squares in the world and Veniceโ€™s prime attraction, it is surrounded on three sides by the stately arcades of public buildings and on the fourth, by Basilica di San Marcoโ€™s domes and arches and the soaring St. Markโ€™s campanile.
4. A met a local who recommended @pasticcerianobile as the best bakery to grab a coffee in Venice.
5. Have dinner at @trattoriapontini sitting by the water while being serenaded by street musicians.
6. Taking a private gondola through the smaller canals of Venice will set you back 80โ‚ฌ. If youโ€™d like to ride a gondola in a more affordable experience. Catch the group gondola canal crossing for 2โ‚ฌ around the corner from @ciakvenezia.
7. Wander & get lost in the streets of Venice and see where it leads you to discover.
