What do those crazy Italian Hand Gestures Mean?
** This video was featured on National TV in Italy in 2020!!! **
It is said:
“If you tied an Italian person’s hands behind their backs, they wouldn’t be able to speak”
That is because Italians have a whole language in hand gestures. Here is how to decode what they are talking about, and how to seem a little more Italian! This video is hosted by the team at Culture Discovery Vacations, where we do tours in Italy for people that don’t like typical tours but want to experience real local life.

All of them natural in Argentina .
we do them all in Algeria 🇩🇿 hahaha
the first one means "ill punish you" in saudi arabia, and its usually done while saying "ana awrek" which means "ill show you"
Today I learned, using hand gestures makes you very happy!
The only place to LIVE.

Nobody is here from India but that "Are you afraid" gesture Jodhpuri people do it pretty well. I was laughing as hell when I saw that.
Oops I thought it’s just arabs who love to talk with their hands 😅
I learned some great fingering skills
They're so cute 😂😂
Arabs do a lot of these, too.
YT is not a right place for contrarian critical viewpoints; had it been, the word 'hype' could have been a good adjectivisation
Sẽ có người từ facebook qua đây :))
Red lady and the man with grey shirt is my favourite. 💯 Grazie mille 🙏
this is soooooo cute! even "you should be scared" and "you're in trouble"
They all seem useful, I'm gonna start using all of them, especially the last one
No
Actually the guy @1:02 is not only "saying" 'are they together?' but with the right hand doing the gesture of 'having sex'/'fucking', this why he's laughing probably…
🤌
I'm Portuguese and we also do most of them… Like some said. It's a Mediterranean thing.
Ciao Carla! Mi piace molto questo! Potevo vedere mia nonna fare tutti questi gesti! 💜💜💜
just curious, is there a reason the ladies use two hands for most of the gestures and the gents use only one hand?
Seh, adesso tutti da ogni parte del mondo fanno i nostri stessi gesti, certo…
🤌🏻🇮🇹???
I'm eritrean and we use most of them 😂
I'm a Mexican, we use many of them too
Suddenly… Just like that… All the conversations I've had with my Italian friend, meant something completely different to what I thought.
Would you get in trouble as a kid doing bad hand gestures? In US, if you give someone the bird around your parents you'll get in trouble.
In Portugal we also use some of those . Others are different
“I don’t care” can also be used as the F word in sign language 💀
I have Italian friends and those ain't true
3:01 this are the best
100%. I drive a truck for a living, I never speak, I just use my hands, occasionly I mutter "eh"
When you become a parent the hand to mouth all starts to make sense, you want to slap them with a back hand, the hand comes back and stops at mouth.
In England we have 1 gesture that covers everything.
Name of song please?
This is like 10% of italian gestures
Man! I'd love to see a recitation of Dante's "La Divina Commedia" in hand gestures!
Im half italian this is interesting
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣
