Alaksa Cruise roundtrip from Vancouver – June 2013 memories revisited-
We took our first ever cruise holiday onboard Holland America Lines Ship MS Volandam on June 12, 2013 from Vancouver, BC.
Going on a cruise had always been on our mind but we always thought it would be too expensive. We finally booked our cruise tickets in last week before cruise departure and it turned out to be a very good decision. We got our tickets for less than 1700 $ for 2 people for this 7 day roundtrip.
Few tips : we booked our trip through Cruise About, they got us the best deal. We booked Large stateroom (having unobstructed view). Normally cheapest tickets are the ones with no view and in middle of ship but we were lucky to get window room in same price. Those who don’t have budget issue we would recommend taking rooms that have balcony, those have amazing views. But frankly you can roam around and have several places around the ship to get same views.
this video covers pics taken on day 1 of the cruise from Vancouver, BC. This is very short video as the Ship Departed in evening time.
