The 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 S ($ not yet announced) may look quite familiar, but it has seen some significant changes over the outgoing model. Gone is the V8, and in its stead is the most powerful production four-cylinder engine in the world – aided further by electric power. This pumps up the new AMG C63 S to a massive 671 horsepower and 752 lb ft of torque. However it has some serious weight it needs to handle along with all of that power.

Thomas and James are eager to share their thoughts after spending over a thousand miles behind the wheel in Europe. We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

  1. Who wants a hothatch-esque engine in a AMG C63? These cars are famous for their growling V8…now it sounds like a 30-50k 4cyl hothatch lol

  2. Gather up, send our demands to Merc and try to make C63 and few real stars great again. Ok guys. Enough EVing. We need that V8, simple.

  3. What are you talking about “nothing has come from the F1 program”

    F1 we’re the first to gradually reduce cylinders!!! 12 – 10 – 8 – 6….and now rumoured 3-pots in 2026!!!!!

  4. I don't understand how an electric-driven turbo could still have that much turbo lag. Doesn't make sense.

  5. So the C63's turned into a a European Hellcat? Great in a straight line, sounds… ok, can't handle bad roads. Why Merc?

  6. so 23.5mpg is good fuel economy in your opininon? M3 with 6 cylinders gets better than that…..hell even the M5 will get better

  7. Exhaust sound decent here, could be from the speakers or what but sounds aaight

  8. Ugh… I’d never buy this. Seems like a cool car, but there is something to be said for simplicity in cars to keep them reliable. This engine will be undo a ton of stress for its whole life. Boosted, the car is heavy, and the engine is small. Keep it for the warranty period and then sell that thing to be someone else’s long term problem.

  9. I dont care how impresive the numbers are, you removed the sole of the car, it was known for its its big v8 and smaller size car with high tunability and sportyness

  10. I wouldnt have called it a 63. I mean there are many other numbers you could have used.

  11. This car does not make any sense. It’s an experiment that will prove expensive.
