A horrific incident unfolded at the popular Egyptian resort of Hurghada when a 23-year-old tourist was mauled to death and eaten by a shark as the onlookers watched in horror. The video, now in wide circulation, shows the man screaming for his father as he was being pulled underwater by the shark several times. The man, believed to be Vladimir Popov, was killed by a tiger shark in the waters when he was out on a swim on Thursday. His distraught girlfriend managed to escape, The Daily Mail reported.

Your knowledge however the simple statistic has a major gaps!!! All swimming areas are more shallow than 6 feet because of boat traffic yes however also out of the way of large prey animals thus the few people that have been attacked have been attacked by shallow sharks so normally 3 feet ish and have lived from their attacks. However people who have been attacked in deep water-waters typically 20ft and more all except 1 was killed in or afterwards dies from wounds…. Yes it is still more safe to swim than it is to drive or fly maybe even skydiving however I haven't looked up skydiving nor researched it just making an un educated guess 😉
