I've never had an iced coffee in the US, but next time if you want something similar you could try ordering a "caffรจ freddo" (literally cold coffe) which is coffee served cold or a "caffรจ shakerato" which is coffee shaken like a cocktail with ice and sugar. What Tasha got was probably a "affogato al caffรจ", which is a scoop of ice cream with an espresso. It is often served as a dessert. The person who served you may have heard "iced" and thought of ice cream! Hope this is helpful/interesting to someone ๐
