We hope you guys enjoy this Florence travel vlog! Since this was our second time in Florence, we were less concerned about visiting all of the top sites and more excited to just wander around and live the city. Our goal was to show you our favorite places to eat in Florence, or as it’s known in Italy- Firenze, and to also show you some less-touristy hidden gem sites, and share our tips for travel to Florence. In the video, you’ll see us try the most famous sandwich in Italy- all’antico vinaio, and also eat at our favorite restaurant in Florence (Finesterrae) and return to what we think is the best gelato in Florence, Gelateria dei Neri. You’ll see the lucky Porchellino statue, Michelangelo street art, some secret sites around Santa Maria del Fiore, the first pharmacy Officina Profumo- Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella and also get a tour of the cutest Airbnb with the best view in Florence. We hope you like traveling along with us! Make sure to like and sub for more adventures in Italy that are coming next!

  1. TIP: Jessi get some better shoes, you are going to ruin your feet. Alessio: buy Jessi that perfume:) Thank you both for taking me back to Florence! Wonderful video!❤

  2. I really enjoyed this video. I have been to Rome and Capri but not to Florence. Grazie for sharing your experience in Florence. It was delightful. I don't know how Jessi survived the stairs with that ankle but was glad to see Alessio carry her up the stairs at least once.

  3. Arriving at a European city by high-speed rail is the way to go! That's the power of European engineering! The Duomo is quite impressive! The dome of the cathedral was built between 1420 and 1436 to a plan by Filippo Brunelleschi, and is still the largest masonry vault in the world. Such a structure had been planned since the 1300s, but the admirable innovation of Brunelleschi was to create it without reinforcements in wood, since none could have sustained a cupola of this size. Before Filippo, they had problems figuring out how to support the dome as there wasn't enough wood in Tuscany to construct centering to support the dome and so the design of the dome called for an ingenious solution.

Brunelleschi had just the solution. He proposed building two domes instead of one, one nested inside the other. The inner dome was built with four horizontal stone and chain hoops which reinforced the octagonal dome and resisted the outward spreading force that is common to domes, eliminating the need for buttresses. The unprecedented building strategies didn't stop there! To construct the brick walls, Brunelleschi employed a novel herringbone pattern that allowed the brick to self-reinforce as it was being laid so that the bricks wouldn't fall off the wall as it became more inclined!

  4. Have you guys ever considered doing guided tours? I would totally sign up! I would like to visit Italy but I don’t feel comfortable to traveling alone. Love your channel!

  5. From having a little one I found Apple juice, (a big serving over 16 oz) is the best to get your pipes a moving. Cheap and natural laxative, look it up😊

  6. @ 7:26 Because those are not selling packages. Notice there is a price for one bottle, resp. can. They are packaged only for convenience while manipulating with larger amounts of the product. But we do have two-packs, four-packs and sometimes even 6-packs in Europe too, usually as a promotion (with better price per piece). If you are not sure, better ask someone before breaking a package 🤓

  7. Have learned so much watching your videos, thank you!!! Traveling to Italy in September and I am so excited, this video has helped me decide on restaurants and little gems many don’t talk about! Also your skin is so beautiful ❤

  8. Lovely travel vlog! Do you by any chance have the name of the wine producer that you both (especially Alessio) liked so much from the restaurant – ll Grande Nuti Trattoria ?? I would like to try it.

  9. Absolutely fell in love with Florence when we visited Italy back in October. We flew into Florence so it was our first impression of Italy and we literally never wanted to leave. We had about four flights of stairs in our hotel lol so yeh they kill your (though not worse than the 104 steps to our Positano hotel lol) After visiting Rome, Positano, Capri, Montepulciano, Pienza, and Naples we still absolutely loved Firenze!!
