One of my good friends went vegan. After about a year she started having different health issues. She went to her doctor. He did a series of tests. Then asked her about her diet. He told her her diet was a problem. He advised her to change her vegan diet to a modified vegetarian diet. Put animal products (like eggs) back into her diet and once or twice a week add fresh fish & fowl. He stressed the importance of fish in the diet.
Most vegans are not vegans because of the diet. They are vegans because "animals are people too."
And from this man's own words it sounds like he is in the "animals are people too."
Her doctor emphasized moderation with food sources and told her that vegan is anything but a diet of moderation.
Media matters are paid traitors!
Enjoyed the show. I do think Darin is obfuscating the health problems that vegans and vegetarians experience and how most actually have to supplement due to the lack of vital nutrients than can only be gotten from animal sources. It is also true that there are people that are thriving on a carnivore diet. It is not true that everyone on a carnivore diet experiences health problems, in fact, it has helped many people cure, seemingly, incurable diseases.
As Darin so aptly points out, it is toxins that are the primary source of most health problems. It is not the consumption of eating clean meats.
Love Tucker and love all the "health" changes. Too bad the sickest among us cannot afford to do so. The cheapest food, the cheapest everything is the worst for people. I for one am very ill. So ill that I can no longer work. I can't even afford crap processed food. And I sure don't have money to cook a meal. Heck, I don't even have the teeth to eat those healthy nuts the man discussed. Only those who are fairly wealthy can make changes. I maybe can see about coconut oil. I think the cheapest is $5.00 in Dollar Store.
