New Girl is a show about how liberals are bad people who can't keep their noses out of other people's business. The only character with any redeemable qualities is Schmidt and he's a Republican. Pretty hilarious once you realize that.
nick's arc as a writer is one of my favorite things in the show. like it starts out as this running joke of how nick's a failure and never does anything, and then by the end of the show he's touring the world for his book series. whenever i'm down i just think, if nick miller did it, then so can i. also nothing is more relatable as a writer than "I wrote 20 pages and they're all good! some of them are good! five pages are good! i really like the title!"
