  1. 🎉 Oh I absolutely love Trader Joe’s wine selections. It makes me feel like I’m actually rich. Rich in wine! but yes nothing feels better than to go here and spend a $100 on wine and leave out with 12 bottles of wine from around the world. 😂😂 there’s a few staples that I always buy from Trader Joe’s like Beaujolais by Georges Duboeuf and also they have a great Italian ValPolicella reserve. 🍷

  2. Hey Maddy, Another fantastic video. Finding good cheap wines at Trader Joe's is a part time job for me. I have turned up some wonderful bargains, and some clinkers too. I tend to favor red blends when I'm buying low cost wines. Most of them make good vin du table and are excellent for cooking too.

  3. I'd love one of these value videos at a state run liquor store somewhere. i live in pennsylvania and my wine options are limited to one of those stores or a grocery store.

  4. There are some definite value gems at TJs. Pago Lencia is one of them. Tempranillo under $10 that tastes twice the price!

  5. When I visit the U.S. first stop is a Trader Joes to pick up a box of their block red wine Shiraz from Australia… it’s never been a disappointment

  6. “a whopping $14 bones” gave me a Gary V, Wine Library TV flashback 🙂

  7. I woke up this morning telling my partner that I would buy wine for Easter dinner at Trader Joe's and boom here's your video! Great minds think alike!

  8. Great video as always. There isn't a trader Joe's where I live but there is a grocery outlet. Have you considered doing the same thing at grocery outlet?

  9. I'll be stopping by my local TJ this weekend to see if they have that Susumaniello. I love Puglia wines, and this one sounds right up my alley. Thanks for the heads-up!

  10. Laya is available in many of the better quality grocery store wine sections in my neck of the woods (Seattle area / distributed by Elliott Bay, at least it was back when I worked in the wine biz).
    Good juice!

  11. Unfortunately no wine sales in our grocery stores here in NY. But, a great video on how to find value wines. I remember the first susumaniello I tried as part of my Italian wine scholar certification, real hit of cherry coke on top of the fruit🍷🍷.

  12. Very nice selection. Trader Joes does offer some legitimately good value wines. The exception is the Trader Joe’s selection series. I did a tasting video on several of these private label wines and was VERY disappointed with all of them…

  13. What a great video! I'm often clueless when at TJ's and don't trust their wine people to know things! Now I have a shopping list!

  14. Thank you for making a video on value wines at Trader Joe's! This helps ordinary people, with families and budgets, to find and enjoy great wine. Your "Wine Folly: Magnum Edition" is my wine bible. Absolutely love it, along with your great videos. Cheers! 🍷

  15. Great video Madeline! The Spanish and the Portuguese are two of my favorite TJ wines. I’ll definitely try the French and Italian next time. My local TJ’s has a California blend called Troublemaker by Austin Hope for under $15! Check that one out!

  16. So I’m guessing that you’re recommending all these wines. It wasn’t really clear.

  17. Do they still sell Charles Shaw, 3 buck chuck wine at Trader Joe's? Some of our Trader Joe's in NJ sell beer and wine, some don't.

  18. Love this. I've seen that Susumaniello on the shelf there and have been tempted to grab it. I definitely will now. I do find some really nice wines there all the time. Among them are Muscadet, Amarone, Cava and a nice Prosecco from Valdobiaddene, to name just a few. Hope you're well. Sláinte!

  19. The economic law of diminishing returns does not apply to me, in regards to 🍷 Wine and Women, my thirst for Wine 🍷 is never quenched, and my insatiable appetite for Women is never satiated! 💞 💋 🍾🥂

  20. I love your videos! We go for Tenebres GSM for 5.99! A bit jammy for some, but we've never had a bad bottle.

  21. I love the effort and, of course, Wine Folly content … but I could not really figure out whether you liked the wines are not. I got a good sense of what's on the nose and some of the taste, but not whether you liked them enough to recommend. 🙂

  22. We don't have Trader Joes in Taiwan/Asia, but we do have Costco and also Carrefour (a big French supermarket chain) and RT-Mart which is a Taiwanese supermarket chain originally with a majority stake held by Auchan (another big French supermarket chain),

We buy most of our wines from these three places and the variety, selection and quality has improved a lot during the last 5-6 years; as more regions, appellations and wine styles are becoming available. Kirkland Signature line of wines is growing and with Decanter reviewing their wines they have improved considerably.

I don't have any regular buys of wines, but being subscribed to Wine Folly TV, being an owner of WF Master's Guide (Magnum Edition) & a Decanter subscriber I have a bit of knowledge about picking up good QPR wines.

  23. I really need to start shopping for 6 packs it's like 10% off each bottle. But, I think it's like minimum price wines only or something. The cheap wine I drink tastes like it's fake. But, I duno.

  24. Trader Joe's has been my go to place for years, I love both their Whites and Reds, I miss the wine of the week tastings, I wish they would come back with that because I usually bought a couple bottles of their wine that I was tasting.
