This Italian pasta salad recipe is a delicious and easy way to bring a taste of Italy to your table. The dish combines tender pasta with fresh vegetables, flavorful herbs, and tangy dressing for a refreshing and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
1 pound of pasta (fusilli, farfalle, or penne)
1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
1 red onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 cup of black olives, sliced
1/2 cup of fresh basil leaves, chopped
1/4 cup of olive oil
1/4 cup of red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook pasta according to package instructions, then rinse with cold water and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, red onion, bell pepper, black olives, and fresh basil.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add cooked pasta to the vegetable mixture, then pour the dressing over it and toss everything together until evenly coated.
