Willie plays a high % of most games at first receiver when wearing a 15 anyway . However if he was there permanently we would still need a kicker . Keep him at 15 where he runs that back 3 and often all of the back line beautifully especially going forward . Him and Willemse worked beautifully together until it came to kicking sticks …
Cheslin Kolbe is an option too.Jantjies and le Roux plus Willems -with Pollard makes 5.
We actually have no problem with flyhalf depth. We have Jantjies and Libbok AND Willemse should circumstances require him to play out of his best position at 15. Pollard should be seen as nothing more than a back-up for De Allende and Esterhuizen at 12. He is not a quality 10 at all and certainly not suited to the Boks' new-found style of backline play.

It is far too late to start experimenting with Le Roux at 10 at international level – test level rugby in a totally new position is panic thinking. Libbok, Pollard, Willemse and Frans Steyn (if too many injuries) is plenty to choose from.
Because 1. he is not a flyhalf and never plays there 2. We have Manie and Pollard and Willemse as backup 3. We need him at fullback
Wrt to the Lions – you play for the team first – if the laundry is not being done who cares – the main issue is to win your match. Laundry is a pathetic excuse for not performing.
Take Willie as the 3rd choice 10 , and the 1st choice 15 to the World Cup … with Pollard and Libbok the other 2 10’s ?? Or take Steyn ( Frans or Morras) as the 3rd 10
I m a willie fan and stands for him if people talk crap about him,but on no.15,im not n manie libbock fsn the coloured people think he better then pollard which is a lol joke…,but i will get manie bec he is a no.10,and upcoming rassie is capable sharpening people up to the best…..willie is best no.15 in sa….get 2 other no10's ready before its to late…
We need to ask what people have against Manie.Last years top scorer in URC,this year again; brilliant cover defence against the Bulls;+80% goalkicker;passes,runs.Can play 10,15 and wing.The anti-Libbok camp desperate to look at everybody at 10,so that they can have an excuse NOT to pick him.Who next?Mornè Steyn?Father Christmas?

The problem with Lions Rugby is Ruhan Straeuli, the buck stops with him. If the CEO cant manage his personal he needs to be replaced ASAP.
