Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. I see so many positive comments about this film… and I sincerely do not understand what's so great about it. I cannot find it funny at all or whatsoever. Is it that I do not share the same cultural referents? How is "I travel 500 miles to give you my seed" hilarious? I would say it is somewhat clever, but funny? I just't can't find it funny. I'm not saying it is not funny, it is just that I cannot understand how or why.
