I spent a week in Italy, exploring three different cities & I am truly in love with the country!! I would love to come back during the warmer seasons to experience these cities again. Italy is currently run by a neo-Nazi government that propagate anti immigrant talking points, so it does not surprise me your Rome experience was not the best. I was in Italy during election season, so it was interesting to witness it. I loved Milan and Venice though, such a warm welcoming ppl.
