Serious Eats Manila: A Mano | Italian Restaurant Power Plant Mall Neapolitan Pizzas Hand Made Pasta Rockwell Makati. A Mano is considered one of the best new Italian restaurants in Manila and is conveniently located at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell and has also opened a second branch in BGC. A Mano translates to By Hand and that is the philosophy used in creating their hand made pastas and pizzas with hand picked quality ingredients. It was opened in 2019 by Amado Fores, the son of Margarita Fores who has been awarded Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2016 and runs a portfolio of succesfull restaurants including Cibo, Lusso, Grace Park and Alta. Amado continues his mother’s legacy and passion in Italian cuisine with A Mano as his first venture. This casual dining restaurant has elegant interiors and comfortable couch seating and features an open kitchen with a Valoriani Gas Fired Brick Oven from Italy. From their menu we would recommend every single dish we tried: Patatine Fritte, Gnocco Fritto con Salumi, Mozzarelline Fritte, Affettati Misti, Margherita Con Bufala, Diavola Pizza, Carbonara Pizza and Spinaci Pizza.

  1. May I respectfully disagree? I’m an Italian-American who grew up with great pizza in New York. CROSTA in Salcedo Village is literally the best pizza I’ve had anywhere in the world for over 30 years. It’s hard to believe it’s in the Philippines, but it is! Try their Big Red Sicilian. You will thank me.
