Padova Italy (Padua in English) is one of Italy’s loveliest towns. It is right on the doorstep of Venice and yet you will hardly find any tourists. In some ways I prefer Padova to Venice.
Accommodation in Padova costs far less than accommodation in Venice to start with. Eating out in Padova too is far better – prices are way lower and most times you’ll eat way better.
Then there are some of the most impressive sights to see in all of Italy such as the Basilica di Sant’Antonio da Padova and the 14th century Scrovegni Chapel featuring famous frescoes by Giotto – perhaps second only to the Sistine Chapel in its beauty.
