If you are an adult who loves cruising and Disney, like us, we share our picks for the top activities for adults on the new Disney Wish.
Disney Cruise Line’s new Disney Wish features the Quiet Cove. This adults only area is found aft on Deck 13. It offers an infinity pool, whirlpool, bar, and coffee cafe that are just for those 18+. On our cruise, it was actually busier than some family areas.
One of our favorite spots for adults on Disney Wish is the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. At night, the Hyperspace Lounge is reserved just for adults. During the day, families can use the space. As a big Star Wars fan, I enjoyed grabbing a cocktail and getting immersed in the universe at this bar.
If Star Wars is not your thing, there are several other themed bars for adults on Disney Wish. The Bayou is a New Orleans themed bar serving Southern-inspired cocktails. Adults will also like the piano bar Nightingale’s and the Keg & Compass pub. All of these venues offer live music, signature cocktails, and no children!
Rejuvenating at the spa is definitely one of the best activities for adults on Disney Wish. This spa is in a new location on Deck 5, with a brand new outdoor lounge space that is exclusively for adults. There are a number of individual treatment rooms as well as a couple’s treatment room for services like massages. There is also the Rainforest Room thermal suite with a sauna, steam room, cold room, and rainforest showers.
Disney Wish features two signature specialty restaurants that are reserved exclusively for adults. These venues do both have up-charges, and reservations are required. However, if you are looking for an upscale evening sans children, these two restaurants are the perfect spot. There is Palo Steakhouse which combines authentic Italian dining with a modern steakhouse and Enchante which features a gourmet menu crafted by a Michelin-starred chef.
Of course, like any cruise ship, Disney Wish features a number of signature entertainment options and activities throughout the cruise. Just because it’s Disney, it doesn’t mean that you have to be a kid to enjoy this entertainment. The Walt Disney Theatre features three high quality production shows that are fun for all ages. These shows are Disney Seas the Adventure, a Broadway-style adaptation of The Little Mermaid, and Disney’s Aladdin-A Musical Spectacular.
Further, there’s also Luna’s. Luna’s hosts a variety of events like Bingo, a Silent Disco, and adult game shows throughout the cruise.
If that’s not enough, adults on Disney Wish can go shopping at one of the many high-end onboard shops, schedule a treatment at the salon or barber shop, or maybe just feel like a kid again with all the Disney magic onboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Wish!
