We took our very first cruise on Carnival sailing the brand new Mardi Gras. This ship has more included food than any of the 7 cruise lines we’ve sailed. But how does the food stack up? Come along on our culinary journey to find out.

The 555 Steakhouse is not included in this tour because we did not personally go in there. But our brother and sister in law had an anniversary dinner and LOVED it. They said Rudi’s Seagrill was still the best meal on the ship, but 555 was right behind it.

Growing up in an Italian-American household, the kitchen was the heart of Walter’s upbringing. He spent more time in that kitchen than most families spend in their living rooms. At 8 years old he cooked a pork roast for the family. That started his lifelong love affair with all things food and culinary.
