Hi Neighbours, I hope you all had a wonderful week. Today I got to film this with my Casey & enjoyed so much doing so. We started off making a punch to our quick Sunday Supper . The casserole comes together in less than an hour start to finish counting the prep and cook time. Recipe is below to the casserole, the salad dressing and the drink.
For the drink ( this was really really really good)
300 grams or so of frozen sliced strawberries or about 14 oz
1/2 liter of lemon lime soda
1 liter of gengerale
300 mls give or take of five alive or something of similar flavour
For the salad dressing
1/2 cup of olive oil ( use cold pressed if you have) or you can use a canola oil
1/4 cup of balsamic or white or red wine vinegar ( your choice I used today a balsamic)
1-2 tablespoons of honey or you can use sugar
1 table spoon of Dejuan mustard
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp of oregano
shake in closed jar to massify or use a whisk and bowl
For the casserole Biscuit-topped Italian style casserole ( a take on something in a book I have)
ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
2 cups package frozen
mixed vegetables
1-2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese,
divided
1 package refrigerated biscuits 10 in a pack at least
1 tablespoon butter or margarine or you can use olive oil ( to this you can add some basil pesto or garlic or oregano whatever you like to brush the biscuits with)
In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink;
drain access fat if any. Stir in the tomato sauce, beef broth and seasonings. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the
heat. Stir in vegetables and little more than half of your cheese. Transfer to a
greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
Split each biscuit in half. Arrange biscuits around edge of dish,
overlapping slightly; brush with butter mixture or olive oil mixture.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the meat mixture. Bake, uncovered,
at 375 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden .
