On Cardi B’s 29th birthday, Offset surprised her with a $1.5 million investment property in the Dominican Republic. Cardi B had to say this “For a hot minute now I’ve been telling [Offset] that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries … but I felt like he didn’t agree with me and would rather put money into other investments. Well, I was wrong.”
Built on a 4-acre hillside parcel near the beach, in a guard-gated community in the northeastern resort town of Las Terrenas, the four-level structure comes with six bedrooms and an equal number of baths spread across 7,000 square feet of contemporary living space. There’s also a separate one-bedroom, one-bath studio sporting a kitchen and living room, along with two pools — an infinity one with built-in chaise lounges atop the roof, and a smaller lap version just off one of the bedrooms. Copious balconies and walls of windows also frame jaw-dropping tropical and ocean vistas.
Built using a combination of wood, stone, rusted steel and raw concrete, the home is currently available on Airbnb for $836 a night. Amenities include an Italian kitchen outfitted with a wine fridge, an eat-in island and an adjacent dining room, as well as a gym, private garden and covered al fresco dining area with a grill. Homeowners also are privy to community perks, including a trio of tennis courts, helipad, two pools, golf cart service and private beach access.
