Buffets are a great way to informally entertain a crowd, and Italian buffets always are popular.
Plan a menu that touches each food group. Serve at least one protein, one vegetable, one carbohydrate, a salad dish and a bread. With an Italian buffet, that means the entree may include both the protein and carbohydrate, such as lasagna or stuffed pasta shells.

Ideas For An Italian Buffet:

3. Appetizers. Cold mezzeh and salad like steamed octopus with capers & lemon served with oyster sauce. Steamed ring calamri with dill, fresh lemon juice & lemon vinigrate sauce. Steamed kiwi mussels with mixed capsicum served with sweet chili sauce.
4. Salads. Caprese salad is easy and delicious with just a few simple ingredients.
Side Dishes. Zucchini is easy to prepare and a classic Italian vegetable. Pesto homous and tabouleh.
