One of my family favorites! Home made sauce and a variety of cheeses, spinach and Italian seasoning. The ingredients will be provided below the video
Sauce:
Ingredients:
2.5 lb lean or extra lean ground beef
1 large head of onions finely chopped
5 cloves of garlic finely chopped
4-5 16 oz cans of tomato sauce
2-3 6 oz cans of tomato paste
salt, pepper to taste
about 400 ml red wine.
1-2 TS oregano or Italian seasoning
Directions:
Saute the ground beef stirring regularly until it changes color
add the chopped onion and garlic
add salt, pepper and the Italian seasoning. cook until the onion is translucent
add the tomato sauce,tomato paste and wine. stir regularly
after it boils, let simmer for about 30-45 minutes. Adjust the salt and seasonings as needed
The rest of the ingredients:
1 1/2 packages of Lasagna cooked according to package directions
about 2 lbs of ricotta cheese
about 2 cups of chopped spinach(fresh or frozen)
2 eggs
about 2 lbs of shredded Mozerella cheese
about 2 cups of shredded parmesan cheese
Directions:
Mix the ricotta cheese with the spinach, eggs and half of the parmesan cheese
Start by spreading a thin layer of the sauce, then lasagnia noodles, followed by the ricotta mix( you could add more sauce before the ricotta mix. Use your own creativity in layering the ingredients)
Add one more layer of the Lasagna noodles
Add the mozerella cheese
Add the last layer of noodles and top with sauce and finally with a sprinkle of mozerella and parmesan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.
Serves about 14-16 people
