This is a genuine winery as they were in the old days in many places around Italy. In the past, agriculture in Italy was first and foremost something that existed to provide a family or community with food and income. Especially outside the absolutely most world-famous and iconic wine regions, the land needed to secure the supply, so therefore a classical agriculture was planted with many different crops.

Vallone’s flagship wine, Graticciaia, also made an international name for itself. The partially barrel-aged red wine based on Negroamaro grapes dried in the autumn sun on straw mats (graticci) fell in many people’s taste for its great intensity and soft fullness. The style in general of the wines from Agricole Vallone is classic and very representative of where they come from. These are juicy and full-bodied wines that are stuffed with sunshine and instant drinking pleasure.
