Provenance: F.B. Collection, Zurich, 1970s.
Note: An Etruscan graffito under the foot names the ancient owner, vipiies (Vibius).

Note: From part of a floor discovered near Rome on Monte Rosario about half a mile beyond the Porta Portensis on the banks of the Tiber.
Brought to the U.K. in the 19th century by the 8th Lord Kinnaird (1780-1826), and formed part of the collection of Antiquities at Rossie Priory.
