I’m so glad I don’t have to choose each week what cooking video I’m going to do as I keep getting requests. So in todays video I’m making my meat sauce. My own Italian version of grandmas. I hope you enjoy and sorry for the missing footage.

Meat Sauce

2 28oz cans of tomato sauce
1 small can of tomato paste
1 1/2 pounds of ground meat (sausage, beef, or a mixture of both)
2 tablespoons of Olive oil
I small onion diced
1small head of garlic diced
I tablespoon of basil
3 tablespoons of parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons of Oregano
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Heat oil in sauce pot. When oil has reached sizzle add in onions and garlic and sauté till lightly brown,

2. When the onions and garlic are done add in your meat and cook until brown

3. Once the meat is brown add the sauce, making sure to add water to the cans so you get all the sauce in the pot, including about 14 oz of water. Stir well.

4. Add in all of your other ingredients except for the paste and let simmer on low heat for 90 minutes.

5. Add in paste and full can of paste water and stir well. Let sit another 30 minutes.

6. Fish out your bay leaves and you are good to go!!! Enjoy!!
