Such great balance in this wine – a lovely mix of sweet red fruit and chewy earthiness. It’s easy-drinking but has enough heft to bring a touch of seriousness to the table. There’s lifted red cherry and berry fruits, violets and sage, with an undercurrent of liquorice and pepper. This is on the lighter end of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo spectrum, but maintains a juicy, fleshy and succulent mid-palate. Delicious.
