Hello, I am Mitchelle and an absolute FOODIE. I love home-cooked meals and enjoy cooking, baking, yoga, cleaning, music, dancing, reading, painting, and playing the keyboard. Unfortunately, I do not; make time for the latter two. And In the midst of all this, I have developed a new passion for gardening, I have been reading every day about kitchen gardens and am so glad to see I am not alone. There are a few who believe in eating nutritious organic home-grown food, and I would love to be a part of this club soon. As soon as I muster the courage to make my own organic compost. When I say, ‘muster the courage’, I really do mean ‘smell’ ‘worms’ ‘insects’. Of course, insects and worms (the helpful kind) are essential to gardening and farming. They play a critical part in the circle of life as well as help the plants. But, I am not too keen on seeing them roaming feeling within the walls or grounds of my home (nervous laugh). I would be happy to watch them play their part in the outdoor garden. So Yes, I must muster some courage to not kill them as soon as I see them.

INGREDIENTS for Prawn pasta:
1 packet spaghetti / pasta
1/2 cup salted butter,
600gms shrimp,
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp Himalayan pink salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tbsp garlic crushed fine
1tsp each – turmeric, red chili powder

Instructions :
– Boil water for pasta add Salt. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
– Reserve some of the pasta water. Drain and keep aside.
– marinate prawns in 1 tsp turmeric and chili powder, keep aside.
– fry the prawns on high heat for 2 min on both sides and keep aside.
– melt ¼ cup of the butter in a medium saucepan, add garlic and cook till they are dark golden brown.
– Add the garlic butter to the shrimp and bring it back to the flame for a minute and stir.
– In another saucepan, add ¼ cup butter. Add the flour, stir until combined. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
– Whisk in milk. and salt to taste. Simmer the sauce for 5-10 minutes, or until it thickens.
– Add Pasta to this mix, garnish with Italian seasoning and top it with the cooked prawns add some of the pasta water to loosen up the sauce.
