Ever wonder what it would be like to train like a gladiator? A Roman gladiator was an ancient professional fighter, considered superstars in their time, they publicly fought in organized games held in large arenas.

For over 300 years, the Roman Empire hosted these magnificent displays of power and skill. The fights were usually to the death, and while gladiators’ life expectancy was usually quite short, the fighters gained glory and respect from thousands and were considered the rockstars of Roman society.

Painting the Town of Rome with Eric Dowdle:
When in Rome, do as the Romans do, and beloved folk artist Eric Dowdle is going to do it all. Eric will get in touch with Rome´s marble foundation, fight with ancient gladiators, and, of course, eat all of the delicious Italian food he can get his hands on. Hop on a Vespa and ride along with Eric as he discovers how Rome became the “Eternal City.”
