We continue the Bubble Sessions with a sparkling wine from Emilia-Romagna in Italy. Lambrusco is a RED sparkling wine from Italy that has a bit of a checkered reputation due to past sins. However, the Lambruscos of today are a completely different set of wines and quite delicious and fun to drink.
Lambrusco is made in the Traditional method which means that the secondary fermentation that creates the bubbles we all love takes place in the bottle, just like in Champagne.
I encourage you to start working some Lambruscos into your wine rotation.
