NEGRONI

INGREDIENTS
30 ml Gin
30 ml Carpano Antica Formula (Red Vermouth)
30 ml Campari

GARNISH
Orange zest Thin slice

GLASSWARE
Old fashioned glass

METHOD
Stir all ingredients with ice. Garnish with orange zest

ORIGIN
Based on the classic Milano-Torino (Campari/red vermouth). American travellers enjoyed the Milano. Torino with a splash of soda and this gaved it the name Americano. The italian Negroni asked the bartender at his favorit waterhole, Casinobar in Florence to swap the soda for gin for a better effect.
The Negroni recipe pops up in cocktail culture around 1950.

COMMENT
– Squeece the orangezest to release the oils over the cocktail before you put the zest in the glass.
