Spaghetti aglio e olio is a traditional pasta dish from Naples. This is amongst one of the best dishes I relished in my entire trip to Italy last year. ย
Its Important to cook this recipe in the right manner else you wont get the traditional flavor. The key is slowly toasting the garlic slices to a perfect golden-brown color in olive oil. The traditional pasta is made without parmesan cheese, but I prefer sprinkling a little once the dish is ready ๐.
Make this dish on any special occasion and enjoy it with a glass of wine!
Ingredients:
500 g Spaghetti
5 – 6 tbsp olive oil
6 – 8 Garlic cloves, thinly sliced
100ml boiling spaghetti water
1/2 tbsp of red pepper flakes, depending upon your taste
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
Half cup of grated Parmesan cheese/Processed cheese
Fresh Parsley for garnishing
