Panna Cotta is served in many restaurants across the globe. It is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin. I used vanilla extract to give aromatic flavour to the cream. The 3-main ingredients are cream, sugar and gelatin. This type of dessert is pudding and originated in Italy.

This recipe is good for 2 servings.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp cold water
1 tsp unflavoured gelatin powder
1.5 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Macerated strawberries for garnish:

about 8 pcs strawberries or any fruit
1 tsp sugar

Method:

1. Macerate strawberries by soaking in sugar and put in the fridge overnight.
2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water. Stir and set aside.
3. In a small saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar. Cook in medium heat until it just under a boil. (Do not bring to a boil).
4. Once it reaches the boiling point, remove from heat. Add vanilla extract and gelatin mixture. Stir to fully dissolved.
5. Strain panna cotta mixture into tempered glasses.
6. Allow to bring to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours until the cream is firm in texture.
7. Top with berries. Enjoy!
