Italian Onion and Tomato Crackers-no oil recipe inspired by @Jill McKeever who was inspired by @TANNYRAW. Thank you ladies for inspiring me to make your Italian Onion and Tomato Crackers-no oil. These crackers are so crispy and crunchy and will hold up to any dip. Here is what you will need for these Italian Onion and Tomato Crackers made with no oil.
Ingredients:
1 large sweet onion finely chopped
1 cup cherry tomatoes finely chopped
1/2 cup ground flax seed
3 tablespoons of Nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt.
Blend all the ingredients in a medium bowl until well combined. Then spread onto a dehydrator rack lined with parchment paper, using a off set spatula to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
Score batter with the a pizza cutter or knife being careful not to go all the way through.
Dehydrate at 125 degrees for 15 to 20 hours. Flip halfway through onto another rack and peel off parchment paper and continue to dehydrate until the crackers are at your desired crispness. Remove and break apart.
Should keep in an airtight container for a week or so.
