Pasta with tomato sauce cooking class
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 medium yellow onion chopped
– 1 big can of Whole peeled tomato sauce
– 1 package of 1 lb good quality pasta
– Extra virgin Olive Oil 2 TBSP

Directions:
place the olive oil on a skillet and add the onion. Wait 2/3 minutes until it become translucent and then add the tomato sauce. Leave it on low setting simmering for at least 20 minutes. Cook the pasta in a big pot with a lot of water (approx 4 quarts). Salt with 2 TBSP of coarse salt as soon as it boils and then add the pasta. Cook for the amount indicated on the package (the cavatelli cook for 14 min). Strain very well and add it to the tomato sauce pan. Add a spoon or 2 of extra virgin olive oil and the parmigiano reggiano and if you have some leafs of fresh Basil. Enjoy and Buon Appetito!
