Join my conversation with Lorenzo Fasola Bologna, Owner and CEO of Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, on the impact Covid19 had on his family business. Lorenzo is one of Italy’s biggest producers of olive oil, wine and balsamic vinegar. A true entrepreneur, he was the country’s first Agribusiness to become ‘ZERO CO2 Emission’.
Amongst his clients are airlines, such as Emirates and the top branded luxury hotels, restaurants and leisure businesses around the world.
Over the last two months, Covid19 crushed his revenues. Here are his learnings from the crisis, how he’s adapting to a new reality and how he’ll change his business approach to a more diversified marketing strategy.
For him consumers will increasingly chose QUALITY over QUANTITY and food will not only be seen as ‘feeding’, but as an EXPERIENCE. People will be prepared to pay more for their food and push for healthy produce all through the production and supply chain.
He’s worried about the European Union’s stability and its continued lack of coordination and cooperation. For him a ‘Corona Virus Combat Task Force’ should be created and headed by Mr. Mario Draghi, former President of the ECB. For Lorenzo, Mario Draghi is THE TRUE leader in Europe.
