Ema Datsi (national dish)
It consists of chilli, which is a part of vegetables, in a cheese sauce made from yak cheese, Ema Datsi is very spicy and is only intended for “chili lovers”. Ema Datsi is the most famous and popular dish in Bhutan.
Different types of chilli (“Sha ema”) are used, such as important, green or red chilli, the same fresh or obtained. The cheese for the Ema Datsi is made from curd from yak milk.

Gorgonzola has been produced for centuries in Gorgonzola, Milan, acquiring its greenish-blue marbling in the 11th century. However, the town’s claim of geographical origin is disputed by other localities.
Gorgonzola is a veined Italian blue cheese, made from unskimmed cow’s milk. It can be buttery or firm, crumbly and quite salty, with a “bite” from its
blue veining.
