In this video we use a Moka Express Coffee Making Pot (otherwise known as a Moka Pot). This Italian designed stove top pot brews coffee by passing boiling water pressurised by steam through ground coffee. It was invented by an Italian engineer Alfonso Bialetti in 1933 and it is named after the Yemeni City of Mocha. It may also be referred to as a Moka, Moka pot, a Bialetti, a percolator or a stove-top coffeemaker, but whatever you call it we hope you LOVE the excellent strong espresso coffee that dear Alfonso’s invention has allowed the world to share.

PS various sized pots are available (2, 4 or 6 person pots). The one in the video is a two person pot however I usually enjoy a double espresso which this one is the perfect size for (but of course it only makes one double at a time).

Moka Pot ( I got mine from a designer brand discount store ) £7.99
