Tuscan Cantucci
They are crunchy twice baked almond cookies from Tuscany, they’re also known as “Biscotti di Prato”.
In Tuscany, they’re traditionally served at the end of a meal with a glass of Tuscan dessert wine, “Vin santo” for dipping but you can also serve them with tea or coffee.
A very simple recipe, try it!
Ingredients list:
280g (9,9oz) (2 1/3cups) flour
150g (5,3oz) (3/4 cup) sugar
130g (4,6oz) (1 1/8 cups) almonds with peel
40g (1,4oz) (1/8cup) (3 tbsp) butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp baking powder
1 pouch vanilla flavour
