I always loved having garlic bread with my creamy pasta or seafood so I thought why not try to put them both into one BOWL haha. Making this shrimp parmesan dish was very fun and like always you will make some mistakes and improvise in an outdoor kitchen.
Amazing Shrimp Parmesan Garlic Bread Bowl | Jamaica Outdoor Cooking
I hardly ever use recipes but this should give an idea (modify to taste)
2 gloves garlic
1 Italian bread (choose one with depth)
1 heaped tbl spoon thyme leaves
Parmesan cheese (to your hearts desires)
White wine (A dry variety)
Salt/ black pepper (to your taste)
Scotch Bonnet pepper
1 stalk of scallion (roughly 1 cup)
Roast garlic and thyme in olive oil until soft (20-40mins)
Mash garlic until spreadable
Add olive oil to hot skillet
Add shrimp on medium heat
Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper
Cook shrimp 3/4 way (about 1 min each side)
Remove shrimp then add white wine to deglaze pan
Melt butter in skillet on medium heat
Add some of the herbs
Add heavy cream and stir in herbs
Bring to semi liquid consistency
Add cooked shrimp then Parmesan cheese
Note: the cheese will also give some thickness so add moderately. You want it to be sauce when put into bread bowl but not runny.
Hollow the inside of italian bread, leave at least an inch of thickness from the crust. Drizzle olive oil inside and out.
Spread garlic paste inside bread.
Add Parmesan cheese and some of the herbs.
Toast in oven for about 10 mins (350 degrees)
Add shrimp and top with Parmesan and herbs
Toast until cheese melts.
Serve
