As I promised, I’m showing you how to bake several delicious, but very simple desserts. And since I’m a big fan of pound cakes of any type, I’m sharing you this tasty recipe of orange and chocolate pound cake.
It’s the perfect treat as breakfast or for a coffee break in the afternoon.

Ingredients:

flour 190g.
baking powder 1 teaspoon
sugar 200g.
butter (room temperature) 115g.
2 eggs
cocoa powder 2 tablespoons
zest of one orange
orange juice 120ml.
a pinch of salt
orange extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Mix the butter with sugar. Then add the eggs one at a time.
2. Add the salt, the orange zest and orange extract.
3. Add half of the flour quantity and mix. Add the orange extract and mix well.
4. Add the rest of the flour and mix.
5. Divide the mixture into two different bowls and add the cocoa powder in one of the bowls and mix well.
6. Pour the “white mixture” into a loaf tray, then the “dark mixture” and continue (see instruction in the video).
7. Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 175°C for 45 minutes.
8. Let to cool down completely and wrap it with food film. Leave to rest overnight.
