On March 31, Rosella Garcia, Senior Director of Alumni Relations, convened a virtual roundtable “International Perspectives on COVID-19 – Alumni Voices from the Field,” which featured six alumni who joined simultaneously from their home countries: China, South Korea, Italy, Brazil and from the US in San Francisco and New York City. At the onset of the pandemic, Alumni Relations began hearing from alumni around the world, who were checking in and sharing their experiences, so we brought together a small cross-section of TC alumni from some of the most notably impacted regions of the world to share their own personal experiences not only with each other, but also with the greater TC community.

Participants
–San Francisco, USA: Johanna Brody (MA ‘11) Supervisor, Bay Area Teacher Training Institute
–NYC, USA: Jeffrey Putman (Ed.D. ‘12), Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University
–São Paulo, Brazil: Leticia Lyle (MA ‘11) Global Chief Education Officer, Camino Education
–Rome, Italy: Vasily Popov (MA ‘95) Strategic Planning, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
–Shanghai, China: Kevin Jian (MA ‘16) Facility Director, Western International School of Shanghai
